@taniwharugby I really don't like those jerseys - they look like a kid has doodled on it.
Fark it, I'll start another thread on best AB jerseys
Those are polo shirts not the jersey.
Judge the jersey this weekend.
but we've already seen the jersey, its the same one they've worn in the RC just with the RWC logo and no sponser
That's not correct, only the RWC jerseys have the squiggle, the 2023 normal version did not
found a good pic....its the same jersey. to reiterate my feelings....ive gone from thinking it looks like a hawaiian shirt...to just thinking it looks a bit boring and cheap

We have a gap at 7 which would fit Blackadder. Cane and Dalton are both not really up to it. Despite people seeming to have strong opinions either way, they're both kinda the same player and mediocre as far as the great history of the black 7 goes. Blackadder is too small for 6 really, but our options there are a bit shit too: Frizzel of the one good game, and Barrett the lock. Then the balance problem is exacerbated by having Savea 'wow what leg drive that's gained a metre post contact and made for slow ball that we can't do fuck all with' at 8.
Put Blackadder and Finau in, then at least we wouldn't want for fellas throwing themselves into it. Fuck it why not put Sotutu in too. if you're gonna have an 8 who doesn't do the hard yards why not have one who can genuinely run and pass like a back.
Disclaimer: beer.Been saying this for time... we go on about how good Ardie is, but imagine if you had him at 7, and a big fucker at eight who just bulldozers over people with minimal effort... only issue may be we don't have one of those.
Ardie at 7 with a big 6 and big 8 who could both carry the ball would be awesome - unfortunately we just don't have either of those players - well Frizzel but he's only just come into form.
Our loose forward trio really lacks size.

So we hear tonight if Jordie is going to play? I think it will be Havili if he out, RMo is comfortable with him and Ioane has played a few tests with him, so is obvious replacement to me.
If so I he he plays a blinder, cos he is a nothing against decent international opposition.
ABout where I am at

@Windows97 if they took Finau, putting Frizell at 8 with him at 6, then Cane or Savea at 7 would great.
Agree with that.

Havili was awesome at 12 against weaker opposition. But fark me, Smith Mo'unga Havili has got 'run at me bro' written all over it.
Our 12 cupboard is as bare as our 6, and I sheet this home to selections and coaching once again.
Wouldn't you love a developed Laumape right now?

Take a punt use LF at least he can bend the line,No kicking game but ALB hasn't either and can not bend the line either.
Havilli has a kicking game but will not break the line either.
For me stick a big fucker back in there to smash over the advantage line so our forwards have a chance to play off the from foot.
We need to get right up the French and physically smash them. -

Crazy that after 4 years we are back to Havili or ALB at 12.
Jesus Mary and the wee donkey. Shameful.

Maybe im imagining things.

Your first sentence is 100% on the money and quite alarming to be honest.

Massive ALB fan, but physical presence isn't what you get. And this is a bit like the 6 discussion; by picking Smith and Mo'unga you drive a need for a specific player type at 12 ... which we don't really carry much of in the squad.
The alternative is to abandon our game plan, lean into the heat and pick a side to run France off their feet. Can't see it working, but then I dont' think we've got the physicality or mentality to grind out a win

This part is not going to work also because the Referees are going to slow the game down enough for this not to happen.
Stoppages, penalties, resets, the Refs will not want to make a mistake so the game will not be a fast one more a grind I think.
