Narewa over Stevenson which I disagree with. Stevenson has the better boot and has impressed more in the playoffs so far.

McLeod has been picked in the midfield hasn't he?
Yeah missed that. Now scratching my head about Caleb Clarke over SS...
-
Some odd calls alright...Frizzell and Christie living a charmed life, McLeod, left field call that.
-
Sotutu not even in The AB xv really has fallen out of favour.

Looks like they don't rate Levi Aumua at all.
-
No Christie in ab xv.
-
Foster admits the performances in the semifinals did change the squad. 'One went in and one went out'.
-
Laulala wasn't a Blues forward I expected to see in there ...

Possibly Samipeni Finau in for Akira Ioane?
-
Stevenson is injury cover for Telea in the "early RC", so might get to see him against Argentina.
-
Jeez there are some clown calls in there, wakka wakka wakka
-
No Bryce Heem, Brodie McAlister (possibly injured), Hoskins Sotutu in either of the squads...
-
Did i miss Blackadder in either squad? Is he out injured?
EDIT: He is.

Sounds like he didn’t text Fozzie back.
-
Yep McAlister bad hamstring tear out for up to 8 weeks

@Mr-Fish And/or Sotutu missing out.
Perhaps - though it would be a surprise for him to drop from the All Blacks squad out of the equation altogether.
-
Unavailable due to injury: Angus Ta’avao, Ethan Blackadder, Cullen Grace, David Havili, Joe Moody, George Bower, Patrick Tuipulotu, Quinn Tupaea, Sevu Reece, TJ Perenara.
-
Why has he axed Hoskins Soutu? Very odd.

Would you start him against South Africa/Ireland/France ahead of Savea or Jacobson? Or even Finau, based on current form?
-
How does Laulala make it. The guy moves like a gravestone at a cemetery, and has stumps for hands. Don’t remember Blues scrum being that dominant?

Foster made it clear a few weeks ago that defence was vital for midfield.
-
The thing with having the AB XV now, is that some players that would otherwise be selected in the squad are instead picked for the AB XV so that they get some gametime. That also means they can have a closer look at some new players by bringing them into the primary squad.

yet Goodhue - Crusaders best player on both sides of ball on Friday didn't make it..
-
"We see Dallas primarily as a midfielder. Probably 12. Chance to have a look at him there. He brings versatility. Played on the wing. Fast and strong. Courageous under the ball. Chance, in a bigger squad, to bring him in and give him a chance."
-
Anyone got any oil on what's Hoskins Sotutu done to fall so much out of favour?

Exactly. Still quite a few changes for the RWC squad possible/likely.

He makes Owen Franks look like a young Carlos Spencer with ball in hand too
-
Love the squad named. I admit to being blinsided by MacLeod , but pleased as punch, also real pleased about Finau!

Quite late in the day to be developing a midfielder. Hasn’t proven to be an easy position. High injury rate though.

I would much prefer a Weber Dmac combo then Finlay and BB. It's strange that some players get picked on experience and others don't. Goodhue is one of the reason the Crusaders are firing and makes Ennor look good. I would much rather his experience over Dallas.
-
Just cant see how Nepo and Ofa make it. Again.
Also how does F Christie get in ahead of Fakatava. -

Maybe he's in the AB XV to ease him back into rep rugby.

Dallas Macleod is listed at over 100 kg, pretty descent sized midfielder if he goes well he will definitely be in Razor's squad next year.
