Boks at Mt Smart because Eden Park is busy
It's crazy how little the Boks have played at Eden Park in recent years. The last game they played there was 2013. They've only played against the AB's at Eden Park 3 times this century.. meanwhile the Aussies have played the ABs 18 times there

i had missed theyre playing at Mt Smart. i assume loads of temp seating going in as thats a bit of a drop in capacity
must be pretty unusual for the AB's not to have first crack at dates, whats going on at eden park?

Ten years ago! I was at that game, famous for the controversial Bismarck du Plessis red card (two yellow cards).

Nothing to do with crowds. Lots to do with FIFA

@Tim Usually in match previews or articles with all the team line-ups. There used to be a page for referee appointments on the SANZAAR SR website, but it isn't there anymore. Appointments will also be in their weekly programme that you can receive by email.

Springboks will split in two camps, one playing against the Wallabies and the other (starting XV) travelling earlier to NZ for the All Blacks test.
There are 41 players (injured players included) in current camp in Pretoria until the end of June.
There wont be many surprises in the teams.

I wonder what Foster will do as the ABs have to return from Argentina, so that becomes a very short week of preparation.
A seperate starting XV perhaps. Might be where a couple of AB XV players come into the equation.
Back in 2006 we had back to back weekend matches against Ireland (in NZ) and the Argentina (in BA). Henry selected two completed different stating XVs sending the Argentina XV over early.

That's what SA is doing in their first two tests, and what I was suggesting could happen for the ABs. Any AB XV player used wouldn't be available to play for them in their first game.
