@dogmeat England match? Absolutely bizarre to blame the ref when England got given every chance to win as well as kicking a goal Wilkinson would have been proud of.
I was just amused how far out of reality Neville is. It definitely helps paint a picture in other areas....
He's the most reputable football pundit in England, which says a lot of course...
Where on earth did you pull that one from ....
He's got a lot to say and get some good gigs, but I think you'll find most people would put a lot of people ahead of him. Souness, Keane to name a couple.
I'd be tempted to throw Poogash in that list even.
I have no idea who that is .... but I'd certainly put Neville in with Carragher as the worst. They aren't necessarily bad pundits, but their views are blinded by their club allegiances.
Micah Richards, Alex Scott are both better than those two as well.
Keane is my favourite though. A true curmudgeon, just like me.

Isn't that the kind of howler that VAR should be able to correct?
-
I’ve learnt that rugby fans have no idea what constitutes a penalty in soccer.

It’s not that

Croatia are dominating but losing. Badly.
-
An U12s individual pearler puts them up 2-0
Argentina piling it on now

Where did you learn that? Because like two or less people commented on here, a rugby forum.

A bit of a brouhaha in the ITV studio. Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Ian Wright all argue that the penalty shouldn’t have been awarded. Their argument being: where could the keeper go? Peter Walton explains that it was a foul because the keeper didn’t make contact with the ball, therefore his positioning led to an obstruction. Had he played the ball, that would be a different matter. The old pros aren’t having it, and continue to rail at Walton, but the former referee stands his ground. In summary: them’s the laws.48 min: Not all the ITV pundits are in lockstep about the penalty award, by the way. On co-comms, both Ally McCoist and Lee Dixon get behind the referee’s decision. Association football: a range of opinions are available.

Messi is really doing a DC 2015 at this World Cup. I dont really like Argentina but Messi deserves a medal.

On the penalty and the question "where could the keeper go to?", well if he comes out and doesn't get to the ball, then he's in trouble whether is dinked over or dribbled around. And it doesn't matter that Alvarez would not have got to the ball - same as for England's 2nd penalty. VAR won't overturn as it wasn't an obvious error.
The 3rd goal was nicely executed although Gvardiol didn't cover himself in glory. I'd like France to get through to play Argentina as that is the best chance for an exciting final.
