If Ireland wins this game, Samoa drops out of the Cup Quarters.

In that case, NZ will play Ireland in the QFs.

If Samoa wins, Ireland drops out and that's good for NZ's position on the overall table.

In that case, NZ will play Uruguay in the QFs.

    I think (not 100% sure).

Edit: nope if Ireland wins, all three teams end on 7 points and Uruguay may drop out on points differential.

Ireland beats Samoa 21 - 14, but the points margin is such that Ireland drops out of the Cup and Uruguay goes through!

    Cup Quarter Finals

    4.44am: BF7s v Canada

    6.37am: AB7s v Uruguay

Geez, almost feel sorry for Canada. Feel like they maybe didn't even get any possession at all in the 2nd half.

    NZ get home 50-5.

NZ do well to find the space out wide and Leo has the pace.

    7-0 NZ

    Half time.

A horror half for the South Americans.

    Solo is quick eh.

You get the feeling Uruguay are a bit overawed. That was almost the second try to us from them dropping it in their in goal.

    Tangitau does it easy.

More Uruguayan shenanigans in the in goal lead to a NZ scrum.

    Tangitau scores.

    Nice conversion

    28-0.

@Bones It feels like they overachieved to get this far.

Thought that might have drifted forward but semantics.

    Clark scores.

    38-0.

Uruguay having a shocker at the restarts.

Simple set piece try to Solo.

Then a penalty try to finish.

    50-0.

    Full time.

Crazy to think Aus missed out on the quarters.

    I like it.

To be fair looks like Uruguay came 11th last weekend, so essentially just did a little better this weekend?

Are Tangitau, Leo and Solo just clones on a slightly different diet?

I guess what you are asking is... is there a tangible difference?.....

Good to see quite a few younger players in the squad and those players really contributing

@KiwiMurph hah yeah, zoomed out it's nigh on impossible for me to tell which is which.

Might ask Nisbo for some tips.

And maybe a bit of a tangent, but man I reckon Dickson could have been a quality AB in XVs.

I first watched him on the wing for NZ Schools, and he was fast.

Dickson did play a few XVs games for BOP and Canterbury a couple of years ago.
