Who are you watching as priority?

Some of the disgruntlement around scheduling in the media is a little over the top. I feel like the Women's game really has a chip on their shoulders because the Men are more relevant.
I think that it is more that some advocates are pointing out that the NZR cockup is a sign of them still not supporting the womens game as strongly as they make out. That is a good thing to point out IMO.
'Relevancy' is an opinion. Do you really think that NZR sponsors don't care about an encompassing market?Anyway, because flicking between platforms is a pain when using apps I will start with the Japan game then watch the BFs with interest (I want to see how their development looks with the A team and their chances for further progress). I will go back to watch the second half of the ABs game. So none of the above options.

since when is NZR in charge of Japan's scheduling? We are the guest, we play when they want us to.
-
No, we should be demanding the host acquiesce to our wish to place the women's fixture in primacy, despite the clear viewership and financial indications to the contrary.
-
At the time the bookings were made for the AB/Japan match did the NZR even know that the black ferns would be playing Wales at that particular time and on that day?
Or are people getting upset that the NZR's crystal ball for picking the finishing order for the woman's world cup 1/4 finals malfunctioned?
-
To be perfectly honest, if I didn't have tickets yo the BF game, I'd probably just watch extended highlights of both, neither capture my attention enough as a priority, opposition play a part in that for both, but for the ABs I need to find a reason to love watching them again.
-
No bloody provider is showing the ABs v Japan here in UK. Presumably they don't think there is enough Japanese or NZrers here to be interested in take-up. All obscure league and T20 matches are being shown of course though.

I would put that under watching BFs as your priority.

I understand that, as host, if BFs made the QF then that is the time/date they'd be playing. Info was available but they didn't check.
Secondly NZR probably could have negotiated the kick off time if they knew the QF timing. Too late to change now.
However, my preference is to watch the ABs. Which seems reflected in the general sentiment on here (last time I checked the poll).

Yes. Has always been stated in the RWC draw that if the hosts made the quarters they would play in that game at that time. This was partly because of the ticketing structure where fans could by a ticket for all BF games including the quarter, or a ticket for all games at a particular venue. This strategy has worked well at Whangarei where crowds have been very good and the town has almost been the defacto host of the tournament.

No brainer for me. ABs all the way Women's rugby hasn't grabbed me yet
-
if the allblacks starts first , then thats the game ill continue to watch ,
Then go back and watch the black ferns on replay ,
if the second game was much more of a must watch id probably switch over when it starts , but in this case ill probably keep it simple

Double screening - both games being on Stan here makes it easy.
A pity they don't have the one decent thing about Kayo, screen in a box. But yeah, I'll probably double screen with TV and laptop.
-
I picked ABs, I'll be double screening, but sound and tv ABs, iPad sound off Ferns. The Scottish guy from Ferald made a good point. If Women's rugby wants to go forward, it must stand on its own two feet - there are limited watching times for rugby, so it'll have to compete one day
-
I read the question wrong and picked BFs.
If both games were on Sky, I'd indeed watch the BFs live because it's a World Cup QF and the ABs game is just a meaningless money grab. But I don't have Spark Sport, so I'll watch the ABs live and the replay of the BFs game on TV3.
