Thought Lomax was the pick of the forwards an excellent display at TH. All the pack was good, except Ioane who was fairly anonymous. Daltons best game in black.
Best back was j Barrett. Excellent display at 12. With B barret and Jordan at the back plus rieko, heaps of pace.
Worst thing was the kiwis on Stan. Mehrts has become a whining Aussie with a kiwi accent. SBW sounds like a guy who left school aged 15 « yeah, lads, we’re seeing some kicking and passing out there ».

Foster said they've been working on JB to 12 in behind the scenes 🤣
Oh Foster you really are a muppet.
Whats wrong with saying they been working a while? Genuine question.
Do you believe its true? If Havili was cleared to play would JB have started at 12? Foster has never even moved JB to 12 during a match let alone started him there
You’re reading too much into a comment in your glee of having Jordie doing well.
It worked tonight and I hope it continues. He’s a much better option than Havili I will admit but he’s no “classic “ 12
Tonight was a game that was made for him to get stuck into and he was very good in getting going and involved.
I hope he can do as well against the sides ranked higher than 9th and I don’t mean that in a snide way, I do hope he can. When did we last have a classic 12? Nonu wasn't...

Jordie’s only keeping the seat warm until Fozzie and co realise that Ardie is the answer at 2nd 5.
Jerry Collins played 12 for his club side.

What a pleasure and a surprise it was to watch JB at 12. Have missed the bulk and the security of a big boot there. Every time he touched the ball he made meters. Not afraid to cart it up either. With Whitelock and BBBR rolling back the clock also. The tight five got through a shedload of work and mowed over their counterparts. Very satisfying. Now keep JB at 12 please.

He only said they been working behind the scenes, when JB moved to 12 last week things looked ok, so wouldn't be surprised if they had dome a little.
I will add JB went bloody well, but one test doesn't make him a fixture just yet. -

We look terrible when we're indecisive.
That's the kind of insight we expect on this site.

@booboo white was having one of his little whines, De Groot simulated wiping away tears to him...I thought it was funny.
Much appreciated at the ground. Foley got a fair bit of time wasting stick, it was good. 2 tackles made, 5 misses.
Jordie, as most have mentioned, had done two tests now at 12, and is our obvious option going forward. The question is, will foster see that or stick to his guns, cos he's a stubborn fluffybunny.
How often is someone in the midfield by far away the highest defenders beaten (7 every other player was 0,1,2)? I suppose running at Foley helped 🤣

The fact Foster bluntly said about three weeks ago that he saw Barrett as a fullback when questioned on Jordie moving into 12 suggests that he’s never really seen him as a midfielder. I call bullshit on the fact he’s had any sort of plan moving Jordie to 12, it’s more sheer luck for us fans that the two players he preferred in that position got injured and it forced his hand.
Who has claimed a plan?
Like some other players that have taken chances, that chance only came by luck.
I never saw JB play like that at 12 until tonight and I am glad he did so.
Just because some have been wanting him to get that chance doesn’t mean that they are smarter than the selectors.
Don’t forget that last week there was no hesitation putting him in there after the injuries when they could just as easily gone for a RM/BB combo and that they backed him based on that performance even though it didn’t set the world on fire. You've obviously not watched the canes this year, in a dysfunctional team, jordie was great at 12
Not correct. I actually went to games he played at 12 to watch for myself. Watched both end on and side on.
Great is not how I would describe it. If I could be bothered finding the thread I think it was more like unsure and indecisive at times and that he looked like a fullback slotted in at 12.
That was all understandable given his lack of play in the position. Yes, he got better but his play still didn’t scream “pick me” so I can understand how he wasn’t a first option there for the ABs when he was our best back last year while playing 15.
If you can show me a game at a decent level where he played 12 as well as he did last night then I am happy to concede the point.
Last night was very good but I also want to see if a backline of 5 outside backs works against better sides as well.
Does it look like our best option for the RWC? Yep. Much better than anything else we have. -

Finally, almost a complete performance. Complete dominance of the Wallabies.
Wallabies will be very unhappy, nothing went right, discipline, poor skills, just wilted under the AB pressure.
Jordie was excellent at 12, great impersonation of Ngani Laumape running over players while kicking and distributing really well. Mo’unga in his post-match interview said he was giving him some great guidance on plays etc. Foster will probably put him on the wing now.
Puzzling that RTS only got 10mins?
Codie Taylor again struggled with his line out
throwing. He was average in an outstanding team. Leave him at home for the EOYT and take Aumua. Foster will probably make him Capt.Actually I thought Taylor was pretty good tonight, and I say that as someone who had written him off as past it. His throwing wasn’t consistently good but he can work on that so long as his head is in the right space, and he seemed a lot more focussed. Early days but I wouldn’t moan if they took him on the EOYT.
