@Tim. I saw the total opposite. Sotutu push and grab tackling. Retallick full of commitment.
I think he was very good apart from a couple of mistakes. We were 20 points up for a reason. Silly to suggest we got bossed in the loose with that kind of scoreboard dominance (and certainly dominance that was evident on the field for periods as well).

Just tracking through the spider cam to look at the aftermath of Kellway's try and conversion/TMO thingame. And just watched the cross kick to Caleb Clarke.
When he is tackled some Aussie just flops into the back of the breakdown on our side.
Blatant. Will check out the broadcast bid again shortly.
Edit: ignore. CC had already knocked the ball on. Not sure if player had the right to dive on the ball in that situation though.
See my edit.

Rewatched the first half. Havili going off really messed up our backline. Sotutu was bloody good. Retallick shouldn't be on the field. His carrying and defence are weak. Tight five not very good. Barrett should be at lock.
The disruption of losing two 12's was massive.
As for playing 3 locks.. if you do that, the last person you want to get a YC is your openside. That left us with 3 locks and Sotutu as the only specialist loosie for 10mins. The Aussie trio took the upper hand from then on

This really bit us in the ass with Cane going off early. After 60 minutes we looked a bit gassed, had one less forward sub, and the replacement front row were a big step down.

That spider cam is informative.
Whitelock approaches ref, points to big screen.
Ref asks Foley to wait. Twice. No whistle.
Foley ignores him and kicks it.
Ref wanders off and does nothing. Whistles kick over.
Random Frog.
So funny. So when Ref says play, Foley doesn’t, but when ref says wait, he does.

Didn't look like Foketi was supporting his body weight at the end. Should have been a penalty the other way.
Fark yes lol, he just flopped on the ball, grabbed it then stood up, borderline YC on his goal line. The time wasting free kick was justice.

How to fix the inequities at the breakdown? Bring back rucking

Foley was claiming that time was off at the end. Not sure if he really thought that, or was making an excuse?
We all no it was time wasting. The only question is why did they penalise it on this occasion, when World Rugby and refs haven’t in the past. They will have a point if this isn’t a turning point in officiating. I hope it’s a turning point. Speed the game up, stop teams having committee meetings all the time, walking back for kick offs, etc - that’s what training is for.
