Waller and JMac will try to close out Royal Ascot in about 12 hours with Home Affairs in the Platinum Jubilee. They are 1/1 at the meet so far. If they double-up that would be some feat. I rate him a good chance. Aus sprinters are a cut above, so I’ll box quinella him with Artorius and maybe Wesley Ward’s Campanelle who still has Irad Ortiz listed as rider but he just copped a 5-day suspension in a horror week for him, so not sure if that’s under appeal, if he rides he stands a good chance for a place, but I’m going for the Aussies/Kiwis.

Well it's not quite J-Mac at Royal Ascot, but for anyone interested, Change is Coming makes its debut at the races today. Gosford R3, drawn the carpark at #11 but maybe has the gate speed to overcome it.
No responsibility taken for lost $
Good luck me
Change is coming to my TAB account one way or the other. Good luck, voodoo.

Played a late 20-cent quaddie at Canberra, by golly, my final leg 15-1 shot just hit. This could be nice. … $3.8k. i needed that one. boy, did i need that one.

Prayers up for apprentice jockey Leah Kilner, she’s in a coma. She went down hard in the home straight during an early/midcard race at Grafton about 9 hours ago. I was watching the race live, her horse was back at rear and not affected by any other horse, but tripped itself and went down, throwing her hard face-first into the turf. It looked rough enough, not unusual, but this was worse than it looks. She went straight into a coma, the rest of the racecard was cancelled, she was airlifted to emergency and is right now on life support. Stomach-churning.

Another shocking fall into unconsciousness for a NSW apprentice jockey within 24 hours of Leah Kilner being induced into a coma, Elissa Meredith was airlifted to emergency and the Gunnedah race meet cancelled. Two days in a row I’ve watched this. Racing is a dangerous sport. Pray for these young ladies.

Three in three days. These poor young women. Praying for all of them.
“A third jockey has been taken to hospital in the space of three days, with Juana Andreou suffering a serious head injury in an accident at Flemington on Monday.
Andreou, who last rode at Kyneton on May 9, was clipping a horse when it lashed out and kicked her in the head.
Late on Tuesday Racing Victoria issued a statement on twitter reporting the young jockey remained in an induced coma with support being afforded to her husband, family and stable staff.
Victorian Jockeys Association CEO Matt Hyland said Andreou is in a critical condition.”

What are we all on today?
I've got a bit of a slap at Montefilia on futures at $13.
Then looking to box up Kinghts Order, Montefilia, Stockman and Smokin' Romans into a box trifecta.
Shit weather will have a big impact and the fav hasn't run on those tracks a lot in race conditions.

Also on Montefilia EW
EW Knights Order cos a friend is a part-owner and it's wet
Plus Flexi tri:
3, 4, 8, 12
1, 3, 4, 8, 10, 12
1, 3, 4, 8, 10, 12 -
could be anything.. if it stays soft and not heavy, then I'm sitting on the lightweight 24..would need some luck but I think most do with 22 horses running

Been a while since a post in here.
Kahlua Flybye is over in Australia at the moment for our syndicate and will line up in the heats for the New South Wales Pacing Oaks next weekend after warming up with a win at Menangle on Tuesday just gone. The other two in that syndicate look a bit average at the moment.
In other syndicates, we've just sold Mr McLaren to Queensland so we'll be off to the standardbred sales in a couple of weeks to buy a yearling. We've sacked the other one.
Hopefully the thoroughbred filly trained by True-Love (@Hooroo 's, that is) will be at the trials in a couple of months!

Time to bump this thread after a year since posts.
Orchestral utterly dominant in the NZ Derby. She'll be very hard to beat in her Sydney assignments in the autumn.
Lots of good horses to watch at the moment (and today, no less). Storm Boy, Fangirl are just two others going around today.

She did that easy, pretty special looking filly. Will be fun to see how she goes over the ditch.
