VE wins the Chipping Norton, her 2nd, and now 11 G1s. Well done. Close finish. Held my breath.
Shouldn't have won. Just fucking refuses to be passed.
What a horse

At the 100 I thought she’d she get swamped for sure, but she’s just so tough, refuses to fold.
-
@Hooroo well done Polly on the weekend, I assuming you will be happy with that run with all that weight and fresh up? Played a great part in my trifecta too

It's funny! I've never been happier to not win a race. Kylie and I were chuffed to bits with that. McDonald just cuddled her up and rode her hands and heels.
The last thing we wanted was a gut buster fresh up, especially when she was giving away 7 and 8 kg's to the next weight. To run second so well is perfect. She now goes on to defend her Epona stakes in two Saturdays.
Pulled up well.
We are looking at going over for the night to watch her now borders with Aussie are open.

Go Pol Pol!
Our mare has her first Aussie start on Saturday too. She's been slightly renamed to "I Need You Now" but she should measure up in R7 at Menangle (provided the track recovers from last weekend's flooding).
We also have the current favourite for a Group 2 at Alexandra Park in a few weeks so that's nice.

So Polly Grey is being backed up this weekend into the Group 1 Coolmore.
Super Exciting but I'm super realistic too. Different gravy, group 1's.
Just the fact that she has shown enough to warrant a place in a field (with wet track) is thrilling.
Krone won last year in a very similar field and it's not like that is one of the top horses in Australia. Every fucking chance even at that distance.

At $34 and 8$ that warrants an early bet before @mariner4life empties his pockets and sends it to under $10s lol

Polly Grey goes in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic at Rosehill in a couple hours. Currently at 19-1 where I am. A tough ask, but it’s a heavy track, Shout The Bar and Fangirl have been scratched, and Polly has the highest rating of the remainder. I’ll def add to my quaddie ticket.

I'm on the finishing post to watch her win

Showoff.

Shame about the result. Had best day of the year (so far) on the punt. Hit the early quaddie at Rosehill, 20-cent for $360; then the late quaddie, another 20-center, for $420. Put $20 to win on 37-1 kiwi darkhorse Roch ‘N Hors in the G1 Newmarket at Flemington for his first trip in Oz, and fuckme he won, paid $760. And pressed hard on a short $1 ticket late quaddie at Gosford netted me $2,200. All told about $4K on a $300 budget. Was pinching myself.

The Kiwis again stunned Australia when Roch ‘N’ Horse shocked punters with her win in Saturday’s Group 1 Newmarket Handicap. Those that backed Roch ‘N’ Horse might be able to buy themselves a full tank of petrol after returning a massive $95.90 dividend on the Victorian TAB while she paid $121.30 for the win in NSW. The shocks continued in the minor placings. The $61 chance The Astrologist grabbed second ahead of September Run, who started at $26. The trio combined to produce a trifecta dividend of $44,694 in Victoria while another Kiwi, Levante ($18) finished fourth, contributing to a massive first four dividend of $205,657.

That NSW TAB dividend tells me I was robbed!

VE at ridiculously short odds upset in the G1 Ravnet. JMac took her back to the rear, she roared around at the turn and looked for the world would get up quickly, but drifted and flattened out and was well beaten a couple lengths by Montefilia. Disappointing.
-
Polly goes at Rosehill in a couple hours, G3 stakes 2000m. Race 3 No. 13. Heavy track. Everything suits.

Yeah and only 53.5 in the weights. Not sure how long it’s been since she’s carried that weight.
Racing is a fickle hua though. She should go well though. Hopefully

It’s pissing rain in Rosehill for Race 2, it’s dark and can barely see the horses, they’re having a tough time running through this!
