Manawatū v Hawke's Bay
-
I am not in the slightest bit worried about the first five situation should McClutchie be subjected to any foul player from the 'Poo designed to incapacitate him. At a real pinch even Joel Hintz could fill in and the win will still be achieved. Surely there cannot be any more than the three out of four upset results since Wednesday night?
Incidentally I was at the Westpac Stadium when Northand rolled the home side not long after it opened on a lovely fine sunny Sunday(?) afternoon, sadly was not at Jerry Collins Stadium to see them repeat the dose today. -

@Nepia There is probably more chance of Mr.Putin nukeing Ukraine than the 'Poo pulling off a win tomorrow but the shock of both Canterbury and Wellington losing unloseable games earlier today does give me something to think about.

Uh oh.

@FakatavaAllBlack I think the Bay are clearly pissed off with what happened in Dunedin, and rightly so. This team running out this afternoon is a Super Rugby Team in Black and White jerseys. However that doesn't mean that Manawatu will lie down. They Won't. You have to make them. The way to do it given the week Manawatus had is to start real quick, get a good early lead, and knock there confidence down even more. This to me could be a season defining game for the Bay. And what I mean is with tough challenges coming for the Shield we need a complete performance from the top line up. No flat patches, high intensity, and basics done well time and time again. There's been two upsets already this weekend and that should alone stir this Bay team up.
-
@Billsy111 And no pointless up and under box kicks.
Any sign what the weather and track conditions down there are today? It is Palm Nth afterall so it cannot possibly be brilliantly fine and sunny sitting on just over 21 degrees like it is here in Napier today! -
-
Phew, good to see the 'Poo team named which means the Bay can cream them on the field rather than taking the five points by what was increasingly looking like a default victory.
-
Whatever the weather is this afternoon, the field will still be soft. I hope the curtain raiser - Wairarapa-Bush v North Otago - doesn't destroy the turf.
-
All this weekends curtainraisers have finished and only a little over half an hour to go before the main match for this round commences.
Yet another game where there was an unexpected loss for one of the Super Rugby host teams so there cannot possibly be another team where the hotshots get tipped over. Surely not, especially when the Kel Tremain Memorial Trophy is being defended? I mean it is the 'Poo we are talking about.................................... -
Go Marino, Jonah and of course Folau! Kianu you know what you must do! Magpies vs Manawatu it's a bitter rivalry🙂
-
So close...cmon central vikings teams
-
I backed the wrong hooker..
-

14-0 after 8 minutes

wow!!

@Nepia I am in the process of getting dinner ready but have had to have a change of menu. The steak and anything else requiring a sharp knife has been removed and all things with a sharp edge have been locked away in the interests of safety. Microwaved frozen mince, oven chips and some sort of frozen vegetable mix looks the safest option at this stage to accompany my specialist home made coleslaw!
-
Brett Cameron’s boot could very well be the reason he ends up getting the Hurricanes 10 jersey.
-
Btrad Weber in for the converted try so things looking more likely for a fifty pointer than the 100 pointer I had predicted earlier this week.

love Rakete stone in open space

@FakatavaAllBlack he can scoot for big boy ..
-
Don't gate crash Harbour's shield challenge!
-
I am doing this the old fashioned way via the radio commentary. Can someone give me any indication if the weather /wind is favouring any team?

Good try HB. And converted HB 19-17
HT Score 19-17

If you are allowed to throw it in quick and it not be straight due to no opposition to compete, then a normal lineout where opposition choose not to compete should be the same.
-
Haha, that was a terrible not straight by the Poo not called by the ref/touchie.
