I'm fine with the minimum over requirements, they have to have a cut off somewhere. The only change I wish they would make is that if you're ahead of what the target would be for a twenty over match you get the win. I guess that's tough to calculate because you have to make assumptions about wickets in hand.

That's all part of the DLS. But you say yourself: where's the cut off?
20 0vers today.
You could argue less. But what if you're on target after 9 overs when 10 is the cut off?

Does know one watch cricket any more? Spark Sport seems to have reduced interest in the game.
Back on this. For me it's the balance of the calendar.
Still no tests for 3 months yet, so no incentive to put Spark back on yet for me.
If they had a balanced calendar - like a test series, then a plethora of white ball (as per current satus quo) then another test series late in the season - I'd have the subscription back on, and would keep it on during the white ball stuff, as not bothered to suspend it.I don't hate T20, I put Sky back on for the first time in a year partly for the T20 world cup . But have zero interest in watching another 3 months of it solid.

There’s too much of it and it doesn’t really mean a hell of a lot to me.

T20 is a bit stink
schedule here
2 tests each against Pakistan, Engalnd, Sri Lanka. -
Often the NZ TV Rights for Blackcaps away tours (to the non-sexy places Sky or Spark don't already have TV rights for) don't get finalised until hours before the first ball, when the host board/broadcaster finally clicks that Sky aren't playing tricky hagglers, they just truely aren't going to pay much.
I wonder if Sky v Spark changes this at all?

@Rapido far out, didn't realize it was away. That's not right
As weird as an incoming tour in November ...

I've never seen Tickner as international quality when he plays. Sodhi is back.
New Zealand Test squad for the tour of Pakistan: Tim Southee (capt), Michael Bracewell, Tom Blundell (wk), Devon Conway, Matt Henry, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Henry Nicholls, Ajaz Patel, Glenn Phillips, Ish Sodhi, Blair Tickner, Neil Wagner, Kane Williamson, Will Young
New Zealand are touring Pakistan for the first time since 2003 and will be playing two Tests starting on December 26 in Karachi and January 3 in Multan.

Might be best to merge the thread I started.
What has he done ? Given the vast majority of guys have better first class records than test records ( except David Gower curiously enough, county cricket bored him ) do they expect him to really compete at that level ?
It’s the start of the 90’s all over again. He’s not being picked on “talent” or “promise”….he’s played 58 matches for that record.
Mind you a first test line up like this looks good provided there aren’t any injuries.

Is Jamieson's injury quite decent? I thought he would have been back by now.

PatelOne quick will go for a 2nd spinner crucial on those dry cracking pitches.
Probably Shodi a wrist spinner to vary the attack and have the ball going another way.
