@chchfanatic absolutely brilliant , Give the Saders the title now
It was entertaining. Although I can see why Robertson appeals to players as a coach But some at NZR seem to have their doubts

According to (media) speculation. We don't actually know whether this is true.

I like the look of Lilo-Willie too he looks like he will add some power to the Loose Forward mix.
We have some exciting new young players this year.
Bell,Lilo-Willie,Springer,Hotham,Kemera.For the sake of SPR hopefully they aren't all AB quality (you have already got enough). Although the Crusaders seem to be great at identifying talent (many outside the Crusaders region) and turning them into ABs. Or close to.
This part is why they may end up as AB quality.

@kiwi_expat Thanks for that. Really enjoyable.
Joe Wheeler might be finding his niche - nicely balanced interview - interesting and fun.

Will Gualter and Fletcher Anderson might have permanently transferred to Ta$man. The latter played as a loan player last year.
The Chiefs Dev team that played last Friday included Blake Makiri, who was in the Canterbury/Crusaders system. He appears to have moved back north.

@cgrant I suspect it's the same guy, but 1988 can't be right, because then he would have been too old to play U20s in 2011. I guess he'll still be 30+ though.
If it's the same guy, then he was with the Northland squad in 2015 as an injury replacement (but didn't play for them); he played for West Coast in 2018 and 2019, NZ Universities in 2021 and was part of the Canterbury B squad, last year. Don't know about 2020 and 2021.

@SBW1 The Super Rugby U20 thread is here:
https://www.forum.thesilverfern.com/topic/5745/2023-super-rugby-u20s
The Super Rugby U20 tournament serves foremost as a selection process for the NZ Under 20s. It's not like a reserve grade.
In addition, the franchises' development teams are usually meant to give game time to full squad members that don't get game time during Super Rugby, until club rugby starts. Apart from full squad members, often Academy players will fill the remaining spots in the development teams.

Who here is worried the Crusaders might win the spoon this year?
