TKB was at Chiefs training. The Top 14 is in season so maybe he is injured?

@Bovidae TKB? Thought he was touted as a possible Wallaby.

Probably just catching up with some former teammates. I doubt he is interested in playing for the Wallabies now that Rennie has been sacked.

@Bovidae Certainly would appear that way otherwise he would have been with one of the Aussie teams. Wonder when Rennie makes an appearance back in NZ rugby circles.

No, he just got some time off for a holiday in NZ. He'll only miss two games.

Who knows, maybe talking to the Chiefs/NZR for a return to NZ? I don't know when his contract with La Rochelle expires.

Those stats seem to disagree with the hungus tag attached to Masaga.

    @Stargazer
With Weber leaving after the RWC, TKB could bring his experience to the youngsters (Ratima, Roe).

    😝

Only if you have a very narrow definition of hungus!

@cgrant That would be a pretty good outcome, however it does seem strange that he was being seriously courted by Rennie and the Wallabies. Wonder if it is a clue that Rennie could also be headed the Chiefs way.

He's a good halfback to have in the team, hope his form is still good!

    ALB out for three weeks

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/131378720/all-black-anton-lienertbrown-set-for-short-stint-on-the-sidelines-because-of-ankle-injury
“He's walking around in a moon boot, but that's a more precautionary measure,” McMillan said on Thursday.

“This early in the season, with his recent history of injuries, we're taking a conservative approach.”

McMillan said it would “probably be three weeks” before he could return to play, so he will miss their Super Round fixture against Moana Pasifika in Melbourne on Saturday.

No idea. Didn't know he was. He got the big snub here from ABs and I cant see that changing so he is better of where the money is.
One of the few genuine fetchers we had in NZ and wasn't even given a shot.

Boshier signed a two-year deal with Panasonic, so this would be the last year of that contract. If he is happy in Japan I see no reason why he will come back.

@Bovidae He appeared in an earlier post. Going forward we definitely need guys like him coming back. Wonder if the change in coaching regime sparks a return of a few unwanted players.

I didn't take much notice when the draw came out but after the first round win the Chiefs have a pretty good draw to establish a high table placing.

    MP, Landers, Rebels, Tahs...

Some AB resting needs to happen before April though with Blues, Canes, Saders

All in all a draw that would be quite good to plan a campaign on.

@pakman There was never any detail released about Mafileo's injury, other than it was a serious neck injury. Given he didn't play in the NPC last year either I doubt he'll be rushing back, especially for a prop.
