Blues v Reds

@Mattasaurus is it that the Blues are being unfairly pinged or that the Reds just aren't being pinged? Blues need to tidy up their own transgressions otherwise they are inviting a card, no matter if the ref has blinkers on.

Like most breakdowns, you can find an infringement. Blues being tightly refer, reeds getting away with everything at the breakdown. Probably one of the worst balanced breakdown refereeing performances I've seen for a while

@Mattasaurus Blues need to keep the ball better then. Takes the ref out of the equation as he's letting the Reds flop at their own attacking rucks.

@KiwiMurph adapt to the ref?
Ref but the reds just doing whatever they want, and getting away with it

@Tim lack of accuracy like this will cost when it comes to test match selection. ABs of recent times have been guilty of being too loose. Need to get back to accuracy and good decision making which ramps up pressure on opposition.
Yeah that miss by Clarke will have been noted

@Machpants it happens. Good teams adapt and mitigate.
You can't mitigate the opposition slowing all your rucks by just illegally leaning on their hands over the ball, nor the opposition on attack just flopping everywhere to deny you turn overs. If the ref only refs one team, you're fucked, although it's mostly the breakdown in this case, not other areas. The only thing for the blues to do is stop competing at breakdowns/rucks/etc, maybe they will. However the blues are dealing with it by smashing the reds everywhere else

@Machpants that's where DP needs to be in the refs ear.

Totally agree with that
