NPC 2022

@Duluth I've tried archiving those pages of the official site, and the stats don't get archived, only the text. Each time you open the page, whether the original version or archived version, it has to download those stats from Opta.
So as soon as that link between the official pages and Opta is broken (for example, if they decide to go for another stats provider), you'll lose all the stats.
-
Where are the stats on the NPC site? I can potentially see if I can collect them and display them in a more user-friendly way
You go to these team list articles each week https://www.provincial.rugby/news/bunnings-npc-round-one-team-lists/
If you click on a player you get a range of Opta stats from the game for each -
Was trying to find points scorers for the weekend. Took me a while. Herald does not bother doing that any more. Espn no longer does either. But eventually found that yesterday in same place as the team lists.
Wonder if this is a strategy to drive people to a single online source of information for everything. I hope not. -
I think the Turbos have overtaken Waikato for the worst team at keeping their fans updated
The Turbos site latest news is about the preseason and the upcoming match is apparently vs Canterbury. Links to social media from their site are broken - facebook, twitter & instagram
It seems that someone decided that keeping the Turbos social media accounts was sexist and they deleted them all and created 'Turbos and Cyclones' accounts. So thats why all the links are broken. When you do account switches like that you will lose a percentage of your followers
Do teams want fans to follow the games and maybe be engaged enough to buy a ticket?

@taniwharugby said in NPC 2022:
Interesting to see the movement after the opening matches...Southland big movers, going from $251 upto $81
-
@taniwharugby for me at this stage the value bet is Hawkes Bay, both them and Waikato played a high quality game last week. On their day both teams quite capable of matching it with the shorter favourites..injuries permitting just at better odds
-
@bayimports Waikato heavy faves to beat us on Saturday ($1.17 vs $5) interestingly, 3rd year in a row they play us in Northland, and have lost 4 of thier last 5 visits here (lost in 2020 and 2021)...so due a win I expect!
-
@taniwharugby I looked it up yesterday and Northland have only played Waikato away twice in the last 10 years, and one of those was a SF so they didn't have a choice. The vagaries of NPC draws.
-
@Bovidae yeah I think last year wasnt it because Waikato had dropped from the premiership (in part due to the loss in Kaikohe?) so was the luck (or not) of the draw, and obviously doing a draw for a 'new' comp, they have been unlucky again?
