Went for a drive down to Waverly to watch the game, was thoroughly enjoyable! Didn't even realise it was on, was at a college game in morning and the ref said he had to get down to Waverly for it, so hoppen in car and went for drive down. Wellington dominated first half, had wind at back, and probably a better line up on field, From what I saw Reuben Love looked pretty good, as did young Aidan Morgan at 10. For the Naki, liked the look of Jacomb at 10, Florence I thought was pretty ok on flank.
Another big ups to Naki team. they met up on Friday, travelled down in vans, did a bit of stuff with schools and junior players in Hawera, Patea Waverly etc, stayed in Marae in Karakarmea and generally a pretty good promo. A bit of a downer to Naki union for so little promotion of game being on. -
Naki getting the pre season rev up.

@Kiwiwomble Can't see it getting any better with Silverlake, which will be all about short term financial return from the ABs.
Only hope is an expanded NZ/Australia competition with about 16 teams.

No Waikato team released, of course.
Most of the teams are crap at keeping their fans updated. Waikato consistently the worst over the last few years, Harbour not much better
That plus the lack of coverage makes it hard for fans to follow the competition
I would like to see the NPC steal an idea from Aussie SR. They named every team at the same time every week. I believe it was 7pm NZT every Wednesday. Regardless of if the were playing Fri, Sat or Sun
I think the NPC should do a similar thing maybe on Thursday afternoon. All the teams could be listed at the same moment on the official website. (Obviously this couldn't include the 7 games scheduled for a Wednesday)
That consistency would make it easier to follow matches, bet, tip whatever. The journalists would still have time to read TSF, steal some ideas and write an article for Friday
