@kiwimurph he strikes me as a guy with all the talent, but slmost like he is there for the social aspect and doesn't put in the work...
That guy in your team, late to training, first to the bar, always messing about

For Me Josh Goodhue's performance was the standout by a lock in the first 2 rds.Very impressive.
He won the Blues player fo the match fan vote. As an aside, I've had to unfollow that, they just spam out dozens of posts.

What do you mean? How do you know how he trains? Comments like this are unfair to the players.

So Stan Sport being fluffybunnies.
I don't want to watch the highlights, I want to watch the fucking game.
fluffybunnies.

@kev maybe, I know for a fact he used to work fucking hard on his game, as a teen, but from what I hear, I'm not sure that is the case in recent years.
I rate his game when on, IMO his pass is the closest to Smith, has a great box kick (even if I hate them) but there is def something missing, and this is usually between the ears.
The 2nd part of what I said wasn't saying that was what he does, just we have all had club mates with all the talent but just don't quite get there
-
So fuck you multiple times Stan Sport.

My view of the weaknesses in his game are being decisive at ruck time, physicality, not that challenging D enough. But my opinion is he has worked on all of those things and has improved. Those are things I see on the rugby field - I don’t know him.
But you have just said he doesn’t train very well and he his thick - I think those comments are personal. Do you know him?

Brutal way to lose. It reminded me of when the Canes beat us at the death in 2012 at Eden Park. We were also up by 6 points with a minute or so left on the clock back then too. I think Beauden makes a break and then puts Conrad away for a try, and then Beauden steps up and converts.

I think this may be user error - the full game is there for me and 2 sets of highlights.

Am sure it is, but couldn't find it for the life of me.
Bullshit result regardless

Enjoyed that. It was a very fluid but physical game. I thought Choat was everywhere for the Blues. Julian. S has been bagged for being too slow by some but his impact was obvious. The Bus has a few games left in him yet!
Are Kiwi and Aussie teams playing a bit more direct this year or is it my imagination? -
The real turning point was when the Canes incumbent players come off the bench & were all on the field - if that fool Holland had started them in the first place we wouldn't have struggled so much throughout most of the match... the Blues were always going to fade a bit towards the back end of the match through lack of match fitness.
-
Fun game, but how the fuck did the Blues give that up?
Just tired? Lack of bench impact?
They were there with 4 minutes to go and gave up two tries. Fuuuuuuuuucccck.
Feel sorry for RTS to be really good for 79 minutes then miss a bad one at the end.
I thought B Sullivan had a good game and I was pleased for him, as I felt like he never had enough chances at the Chiefs.
Goodhue was the best player on the park, well done that man, and I was also really impressed with Romano.
I watched it a few times, and I reckon Flanders was a bit lucky not to be penalized at the intercept (4 minutes out), but either way terrible option by Nock.
All in all, a fantastic watch and after yesterday (which found pretty boring as I knew the Saders would eventually win), this was maybe the game to get me back into Super rugby.

JGB looks really fat in those shorts. How can he earn starts when Love plays like that?

Love was 5 shades of shit last week and looked like a different player this week.

A few harsh assessments for what is the 1st and 2nd games of the season for these two teams. Some are over critical of the Canes selections, but one could argue it was a master stroke to have stronger players come on for the last quarter.
I’d be surprised if all of the coaches aren’t experimenting a little with their lineups. It’s a long season after all.
Good entertainment from both sides.

RTS certainly looked like he could bring something to the mix at higher levels BUT he needs more work on tackling players running just off his line. Not just the obvious last example but a few times I noticed Jules go around him enough to stop the hit and he would slip off.
The type of thing that international teams would take advantage of for gain line. What suited him is the Blues “bodies in motion” style of attack. There was almost always someone running a line off him and often he had options. The offloads wouldn’t have looked so good if there was no one there to hit.
It’s a style I would like to see the ABs take on but players need to be very dynamic in looking to go through tackles. That removes Havili and Bridge.
