I dislike the way they rename all their sports teams Red Bull, or attempt to.
I dislike the way they change all their sports teams colours to their corporate colours.
Imagine what it would be like if all the main corporate sponsors did this.
The Red Bull All Blacks with red, white and yellow trim.
Nah.
And....Red Bull the product....disgusting....
I did not think of it that way but it is a very valid point. They use there team more to promote there company rather than the sport. We are seeing the same thing happen in Americas cup
-
Haha
There is pretty much nothing I like about Red Bull, except the fact that they put a lot of money into all sports.
Ok fair enough. I do agree with the money fact as it grows the sport massively.
-
Looking forward to the Belgium GP. What do you predict the grid will be? who will start from pole?
-
That was a brilliant race by Russell. Guy has no luck and his team should take a long hard look at themselves.
-
Yeah.
Great racing now from the top 8.
Gotta be careful with any adjustments you make now, easily make your car slower.
Tyre management critical.
Thought all the cars were pitting for tyres to early.
Hamilton said his tyres were still ok both times he pitted.
Russell's one stop strategy was an obvious move to me.
Not sure the weight issue would have made any dif in the actual race, DQ was fair tho.
Weight is black and white.
Although...they did weigh him twice (smack on first time)...must of made the officials suspicious...
Mercedes engineers probably knew they were going to be in trouble while the race was still on.
Left 2.8 litres of fuel in the tank! -

Danny looks like he's going back to RB
Might clear the way for Liam Lawson to join whatever they call Alpha Tauri now. I would have been surprised to see LL elevated directly into RB from the reserve spot
-
@canefan Hopefully, but Perez comes with a bucket of cash in Spanish speaking sponsorship.

Yeah. He is performing like shit at the moment though, just a waste of space

Possibly made it that little bit easier to fend off Hamilton at the end and also keep some life in his tyres with only one stop?
Rules is rules
Thanks mate

Perez is lucky he's such a financial power, because he's certainly not doing his talking on the track right now

He's certainly doing his talking on the track, he's talking bullshit
If he keeps his form up it could make the race for the constructors Championship interesting
-
-
Constructors championship should be a good fight now. Particularly with Perez not helping much
-
-
@canefan Stroll hasn't been doing that much worse than Alonso lately. There are worse drivers for you to bitch about.
I'm intrigued to see how shit that Williams actually is next year now, whether Sargent was on a hiding to nothing and Albon is as good a driver as the pundits suggest.
Brundle suggesting there will be 5 antipodeans driving next year.
-
Boring race yesterday. Terrible start by Norris but ended up winning by roughly 20 seconds. If he knew how to start he would win most races. I’m yet to see him make a competent start.
-
@Billy-Tell it was strange eh, he just kept putting time on Max, but no one behind max was making a dent on him until he realised he was safe.
Piastra flying up on le Clerc then just settling in behind him wasn't flash from him.
-
It's a boring track but McLaren's progress under these current regs is astonishing. Their car was originally back of the grid terrible and in the space of a few seasons it's now clearly the fastest car on the track. With two very capable drivers I can see McLaren winning the constructer's championship.
-
What is the gap right now? RB must be worried as it's basically one car vs two
-
Sargent binned. Finally.
Never even looked like being up to it.
-
Should have been dropped awhile ago.
But replaced by Franco Colapinto, currently 6th in F2, personally not expecting great things. -
It's funny he gets canned finally when he's actually not come in last the last 6 races. Even almost broke the top ten in GB!

Had one decent season in F2 and got promoted. Never earned it

I think he can thank Liberty Media and Dorilton Capital. They'd want an American driver and unfortunately they chose this donkey:
Wheels on wet grass, plants the accelerator unleashing 1000 hp and predictably bins it. In the end even his countrymen got sick of the cost of him.
-
It wasn't just a little bit on the grass either
-
@antipodean I feel like he'd already thrown it in a few races ago. I remember seeing an interview earlier in the season or maybe just hearing a radio clip and the guy was so disconsolate with a real air of FML, tough watch/listen.
Strange they didn't just call it then.
-
Great race that. Fair play to Ferrari for backing a 1 tyre change strategy. Leclerc can apologise - his team got that spot on.
-
-
Eventful race
Piastri wins.
Sainz and Perez going for third crash into each other with a couple of laps left
-
Yeah that was a great watch. Perez trying to blame Sainz when it was clear Sainz was drifting across and Perez just stayed straight even though he was behind is laughable.
-
That was a fantastic F1 race. And I just gave my daughter a piastri hoodie for her birthday
-
McLaren now leading the constructor champions, and Norris did about an good a job of damage limitation as you could imagine - passing Verstappen on track to chip a couple more points off him.
This title will be the closest in years, and those points might be decisive in the final washup
-
What is happening to RB?
-
What is happening to RB?
People looking for opportunities in other teams, people looking to retire, new challenges etc. Resulting lack of leadership in design direction leading to what could be conflicting strategies which are complex to detect. The F1 budget and aero handicaps are working as intended.
Oh, and Jos.

It felt like their lead dissolved mid season though. Maybe I haven't been paying enough attention...

@Bones Apparently he's an active and destructive influence in the background. Something to do with a power struggle once the founder of Red Bull (Dietrich Mateschitz) died.
