All Blacks 2022

@machpants That is what I am seeing at the moment. Mounga really needs to get his mojo back though. We need someone who can manage the end of the game and that includes kicking for territory (example Steyn in the 2nd test vs ABs).

Midfield is going to be really interesting, especially with Jordie Barrett throwing his hat into the ring. Tupaea appears to have second season syndrome, and has struggled on defence. Goodhue is overcoming his second combination ACL/MCL rupture, but it will be interesting to see how he goes by playoffs time. Ennor is well below international level as a centre.
Certainties:
Ioane
ALB(injured?)12 options:
Tupaea
Havili
RTS
J Barrett
Goodhue
(Umaga-Jensens need more game time to be considered)13 options:
Fainga'anuku
Goodhue
(PUJ needs more game time to be considered)We could see a back line such as the following at some stage this year, which would be interesting:
9 Smith
10 B Barrett
11 Clarke
12 J Barrett
13 R Ioane
14 Reece
15 JordanI think you should Jordie as 15 contender where I till think he may play for ABs

Pretty obvious who @Yeahtheboys supports as well. Terrible team.

That’s the joke…

This Jordie at 12 thing is really interesting.
Perhaps it depends on whether Jordan is seen as effective enough at test level as a 15.
How's his defence, positioning, high ball work and kicking game compared to Jordie?
Obviously his attack is superior. -
@billy-tell kids these days, when I went to school, jokes were meant to be funny....

Did he have a 'first' season? He was pretty much plucked from the Chiefs squad wasn't he? Did he get many starts? I don't recall anyone touting him as a potential AB before he was selected.

@chris Interesting team. Have heard something about Lord needing to get back into line quicker after tackles and carries. Looks to have some real ability to impact the game though.
Fainga'anuku is a real talent. Should have been in the ABs last year for some game time.
Wonder if Clarke can cover centre. Has done so for Marist, but may lack some vision? Defence is good.

LF could also cover centre in that team,
Clarke adds another impact player from the bench. -

Gregor Paul suggests an AB backline:
A back three of Havili, Will Jordan and Caleb Clarke, a midfield of Jordie Barrett and Rieko Ioane, with Aaron Smith and Beauden Barrett as playmakers and the All Blacks may have their deadliest backline in years.
@Rancid-Schnitzel you better get the tissues ready before reading this !!!!!

@tim Havili?
Reece, Leicester both ahead of him as a wing, surely?
I read it as Havili at 15.
