Why? They play cricket, they don't represent me personally. 
The behavior by Hazlewood is unacceptable. I'm sure the authorities will take appropriate action. 
But a lot of you are acting like a pack of high-horse fluffybunnies who never did anything wrong in their lives. 
Unless you think the actions of Saint Gentleman Sir McCullum somehow give you a free pass to sit in an ivory tower somewhere, of course. I mean, when you're not sitting in the ebony tower that is TSF.

How often do you need to replace the chip? Can you source it locally in QLD, or do you need to fly it in especially from NZ? Like does it need to be genuine, home grown kauri or what?

I think the Aussies maybe are a bit miffed re the whole Baz Sainthood thing. And I can very empathise to a degree. Michael Clarke retired this year with an utterly fucked back (IE one that won't let him spend the next 4 years playing 365 day a year T20 the world over & leaping about like a salmon), and a world cup, 30 odd test tons, a 50+ test average etc. And the reaction globally was sort of "go on, fuck off, what have you ever done?". Steve Smith is stood there in the slips with 14(?) test tons & a world cup, aged 16, watching Baz nick it over slips. Again. And he's thinking "really? are we really doing this?"
 
It's a bit like if the ABs toured England & Chris Robshaw was getting hailed as the finest player of his generation, you can imagine a few of them going "I'm not quite sure about this... but I'll sort of smile & nod & only show a glimpse of what I really think when emotion makes the mask slip." 
 
I also think a bit of the pom reaction has a LOT to do with how NZ played really fun, entertaining, non asholish cricket. And lost. So by going overboard about it they can have a dig at the Aussies. Who are utter fluffybunnies on the park... but still... 4-0 this summer is 4-0.

I think the Aussie cricket team are pretty much the personificatioon of "Win at all costs, all that matters is the result". They have been ever since Border. So the whole "there's more to it than that" just seems alien to them. You could see it at the WC where they just had no idea to react to the BCs not abusing them. That element of "we just won the fucking WC, why are they getting the praise?".

Just an observation . I have been down at the ground the last 2 days and will be there today as well and I have noticed a big difference in the way both teams prepare . On both days I have been to so far , for quite a while before play starts the Aussies are all either practicing their fielding or warming up their bowlers and some batsmen have been having throw downs even when they have been going out to field and not bat . Meanwhile the Black Caps have spent half an hour or so before they change to play fucking around with a soccer ball and doing nothing at all to do with cricket . Maybe I am just being picky but I would think this is a great chance for the Black Caps coaches to see how the best team in the world goes about things and maybe make a few changes . It is good we don't act like a bunch of homos on the field like many of the Australians do but maybe the way we prepare to play could use a bit of a tweak .

Did you not read my last post in that series? I've vented, let off steam, feel better and am over it (And hooked an NTA...). 
Aussie cricketers are fluffybunnies and all is right with the world.

This emphasises to me how fine the margins are in test cricket.
 
Roll Aus for 405 not 505 and suddenly the chase is 300 and we're in the box seat.
 
Corey converts his ton and they chase 250 instead of 200 and the game is going deep into the 5th day and it's all on.
 
We have been semi-competitve this game, but through the series our bowling has been disappointing. We just can't seem to get people out when they get set. How much would we give for a young Shane Bond here...

Mostly it has been sessions where the BC bowlers just couldn't get a wicket that hurt. You let two blokes bat for a solid couple of hours, they're going to get the momentum.

If you'd been through some of the shit Border went through, you'd probably feel the same way. Its the national fucking game and to feel like some weren't pulling their weight during his era, particularly early on as captain after just watching Hughes bawl his way out of the team.
