That's quite the turnaround on previous fixtures. Just a blip tho.

Our work at kickoff both ways is a major problem. Curry Mikkelsen and NG Shiu very good.

Terrible technique and that’s the coaches fault. They are lifting the catcher front on and exposing themselves to interference. Oz obviously spotted it in previous games and targeted the flaw.
I don’t think it’s a blip. I think we have some good personnel but the strategy and style is just awful. This whole soaking and moving back waiting for an opportunity is a terrible strategy and doesn’t take advantage of our big bodies and breakdown abilities.
The Black ferns by contrast go forward hard and look to shift the defence around

Like the ABs, tactics haven't changed for a fair few years.

In this case they have changed. Just for the worse.

Has there ever been 100 points racked up in a World Series 7s game?

Didn't watch the game, but as expected, it was a clear win for the AB7s. They beat Spain 36 - 7.

Watched the BF7s play Fijiana. Great match-up against a good team, but the BF7s were too good. They won 24 - 14.

    Men's 9th place play-off:
    2:08am: AB7s v Scotland

    Women's Cup Final:
    3:56am: BF7s v Australia

The Aussie women looking very strong against Ireland in the semis. It will be a tough game for the BFs.

The BF7s won the final, coming from behind to win 21-14.

I'll have to watch a replay. Hirini was so influential in the SF win.

Ireland are becoming powerhouses in 7s with second place in the mens and fourth spot in the womens. A remarkable effort considering they weren't even on the circuit a year or two back.

    Spain aren't that good.

Didn't Spain beat us last time? But 100 points against us is a ridiculous suggestion.

So the AB7s lost only one game (to Australia) and won 5. True, that loss made them end up in a part of the competition with weaker opponents and they didn't have to play the likes of Fiji, but still. One loss isn't as bad as a 9th place suggests.

Great that the BF7s beat the Aussies in the Final. I hope I can find out when and where to watch a replay.

The BF7s only played two of this year's 6 tournaments and still finished 5th in the final Series standings with one silver and one bronze. That's a fantastic result. I wonder why they didn't organise another women's tournament, like they've done for the men, who play 9 tournaments, this year?

@Stargazer I was looking for a replay of the final myself. Prime has the last 2 hours on soon (10:30 am - 1 pm).

Just watched that BF7s gold medal win. Awesome game. So patient when needed. Brazier and Hirini were fantastic.

Still, that young Aussie player (I forgot her name) catching Blyde, who isn't exactly slow ... The Aussies have a good young talent in her.

Hotham playing really well to be starting now. Pouri-Lane can look brilliant and then makes stupid errors (e.g. kick-offs that don't go 10 m).
