The rumours about Cruden going to Montpellier are becoming stronger.
The latest edition of Midi-Olympique (Midol) reports that he was in Montpellier last weekend to finalise the details of the deal.
(The same article mentions a possible move from Luke McAlister from Toulouse to La Rochelle.)
"...avec la plus grande crainte..."
...faut pas exagérer quand même...

Sun wolves promo video!

@Daffy-Jaffy haha, WTF is up with the first half of the ad...some marketing genius was high when he came up with that.

@Tim Southland hooker Braeden Mitchell has been called into the Chiefs as injury cover (assume that's for Harris)
While Mitchell did not pick up a full contract with a Super Rugby team following the Stags campaign he has since been called into the Chiefs as a replacement player. He has been snapped up to train with Chiefs in Hamilton through December and January but it is expected that time frame with the Chiefs may stretch out further if it works out well for Mitchell.

Interesting, playing a game with the blues?

Is that just written in a confusing way?
Preseason game with (ie. that also involves) the Blues. Or will he be in the Blues side?Bad writing.
The Tens seems like such an idiotic idea. Rugby already fucking has an established short form version, you dicks. Sevens. What the fuck does a Brisbane Tens bring that a Brisbane Sevens wouldn't?

As much as id love to see NMS at the Blues he is with the Canes - its the way the story is written.
I think the reason for the 10s is because they want it to sort of double as a semi Super Rugby preseason - you can get a better cross section of players that way - e.g. Tongan Bear Loni Uhila is playing the 10s - he wouldnt play the 7s.
-
Colin Cooper for the Chiefs. That would be a retrograde step IMO.

Que? Has something been mentioned? I would think that KK is lined up.

Disappointed to read this news. I have nothing against Cooper, as he's a good coach, but I don't like the idea of recycling coaches at Super level.
My choice would be Keane but if Cooper is announced as the new Chiefs' coach this week there will be a complete clean-out of the coaching staff. His choice of assistants will be just as important.

Bloody hell. What was the point of bringing Keane in? Cooper as an assistant sounds good.

Not sure how much more use Uhila would be though, seems to me you'd still have to be super fit to play however many games in a day.
As for the Colin Cooper news, that's disappointing. I wanted to see Keane take over and Cooper be one of his assistants.
