I remember this happened to Carter at a similar stage in his career and he ending up staying with the Crusaders.
yeah but that was the Crusaders, no-one would leave the Crusaders voluntarily

Real pie in the sky stuff..personally I would not bother given Barrett has a sabbatical clause in his contract next year not to mention back in 2016 he did not want come to the Blues and who do we end up signing ..?,his understudy at the Canes Otere Black who has hardly made one stand up and notice..
I would try and develop Plummer and Perofeta as my 2 main first fives moving forward and cut Black..
And then maybe look at Jack Debreczini who has only signed for one year with the chiefs and I have my doubts wether the Chiefs
will re sign him with the very promising Kaleb Trask in the wings..
Other possibilities are Hayden Parker, but that’s pie in the sky stuff as well given his close link to Otago ..or out of left field if we are lead to believe some of the press in Britain that he has been one of the poorest NZ signings. Lima Sopaga, why not..? We know he can steer a team around at super rugby level... -

@Canes4life I can't see him moving from the canes mate

Lol people are actually giving this Barrett rumour a second thought. The media are bored and are making up rumours here like they did in the past with Carter and Barrett a few years back.

Any rumours about Samisoni Taukei’aho? I've been keen on the Blues signing him.
You'd be lucky. I was big on Makalio last year, but I think he hasn't been as good this year, whereas Samisoni has looked sharp. I'd have him ahead at this stage.

More likely that his agent has said something to a journalist as a negotiating tactic.

@Bones I think Makalio has been big for the Crusaders this year with Taylor out for big chunks of the season.
Yes, apart from maybe the first 2 or three games, he has been good and steadily improving during the season. Had big boots to fill, but did well.
-
Blues have master recruiter Tony Hanks on board - he will seal the deal.
"Beaudie we have a big gap to fill in our team now that Michael 'One of the best fullbacks in Super Rugby' Collins has left. They are big boots to fill but we feel you are the man for the job. Your communication skills i've heard are great."
-
Beaudy wasn’t actually sick last week, he was just trying to stomach the possibilty that he might be a Blue next year.

You seem to know him extremely well

I just think he was better last year. Has been steady but hasn't stood out for me this year, whereas Tak.. Tau... Samisoni has.

@MN5 little thing called Instagram.
Isn't that what teenage girls use to see what makeup Taylor Swift is recommending ?
