Still better than losing them to Europe.

from Oz, ZA, NZ, a few tongans with residence, a Georgian and a south Korean. It is becoming more like a southern hemisphere Barbarians team. It will be interesting to see how many Japanese players make the 23 each match day.
problem is, the 'good' Japanese players are playing for Toyota, MItsubishi etc, not the SW's.

FYI - tonight at 8:30-9:30pm on sky sport there is a super rugby season launch programme thing.
-
@Canes4life sad face.
-
@Tim Fairly weak starting XV to be fair. Tiatia is barely Super standard, Billy isn't a second five, Prinsep is overated, Blackwell is too small to be a lock - fairly underwhelming if anyone was planning to head up to the game. Goosen and Rayasi not even in the mix aswell, strange.
-
@Canes4life Where possible, I always go back to the source and don't post an article from the media, but the media release it's based on. See my post in the Hurricanes thread and notice the difference.
-
@Stargazer right so Goosen and Rayasi are there. Would have been strange if they weren't. No Jonah Lowe though. I would rather see Lowe at Fullback than Chase.
-
@Canes4life I asssume it's due to injury that Lowe isn't there. He had a huge egg on his left eye brow after the game against the Crusaders and couldn't see anything with that eye.

I haven't checked the S'wolves and Jaguares, but with only one preseason game still to be played (Sharks v Bulls), these are all preseason results that I've seen :
Brumbies 52 - 38 Rebels
Bulls 21 - 17 LionsRebels 29 - 26 Reds
Highlanders 59 - 38 Waratahs
Blues 43 - 10 Chiefs
Hurricanes 19 - 34 Crusaders
Lions 19 - 14 Sharks
Stormers 33 - 28 BullsBrumbies 34 - 28 Waratahs
Crusaders 43 - 38 Highlanders
Reds 19 - 21 Chiefs
Stormers 87 - 5 Boland (Cavaliers?, a Currie Cup team from Western Cape Province)
Hurricanes 31 - 38 Blues -
@Canes4life big loss for the Canes,I rate this guy especially when it’s come the physical stakes, has real ability to offload and hold players up in the tackle .
-
@Steven-Harris yeah big loss! Could be a long year for the Canes. I wonder who they will bring in to replace him? Parsons from Hawkes Bay maybe?
