@KiwiMurph said in Super Rugby News:
I wonder if Bryn Gatland will be brought in cos I think Perofeta is also injured.
At least he played well for the A team on the weekend.
They would need to put another need a 3rd guy with the squad too just in case there's another injury.
Who the hell would that be?? When the Crusaders had injuries at 10 they had Gatland training with their squad.. -
@KiwiMurph Oh, did he? Against the Chiefs U20s, Otumaka Mausia played at 10 for the Blues U20s. Against the Canes U20s, it was indeed Wiseguy Faiane.
Gatland played first-five for the Blues Dev team against both the Chiefs Dev team and the Canes Dev team.

Just making a suggestion, would the mods consider splitting this thread in terms of moving the discussion around the future of Super Rugby into it's on thread and keep this thread more for specific current season player/team news around injuries, squad updates, etc?
I just trawled through about 5 pages of discussion around the future of the Super Rugby comp and all the speculation around it which makes for good reading, but not if you are looking for an update on a specific player's injury or some such.
Just a suggestion.
Cheers

Overlooked in Paul Cully's article is this:
Williams has been out of the game for eight months and is a father to two young children but still looks in better condition than some players 10 years his junior. Brilliant players, incidentally. A pair of siblings with enough talent to rule the world in their respective positions but apparently not yet with the right habits. TV cameras captured the players in question huffing and puffing on shuttle runs away from the rest of the group while All Blacks assistant Wayne Smith was among those watching on. Oh to have heard what words Smith passed on to them as they caught their breath.
This can only be referring to the Ioane brothers. So clearly their training routines and fitness/conditioning are still major work-ons.
