All Blacks vs Pumas II

Not bad with all those changes. Argies are good at spoiling not much else.

I've never heard Christie speak. But if I did, I'd be staggered if he didn't have an Irish accent.
He's Scottish isn't he? Terrible poach if so.

Geez, Christie and Blackadder are rookies. Some are writing them off way too early. Let them learn in games like these.
Blackadder has done many good things in this game, too.How old is Christie? He's crap, not going
He's only there because Fakatava is broken.
And not a Kiwi
Regardless, he wouldn't have been there if Fakatava wasn't out injured.
Plus, Christie is only slightly more a Kiwi.

Good win, now letโs show the Boks whoโs the real no 1.

@bones said in All Blacks vs Pumas II:
Hell of an effort from Vaa'i to go 80, but the only time I've "seen" him is when he's dotting down. Struggling with if that's a good thing or not.
He's not much of a presence eh.
8 tackles made, none missed
Third highest run getter of the forwards (39) off 9 runs, with 7 passes as well, and 2 defenders beaten (1 clean break).
Heโs been doing pretty well I thought (without being a BBBR or Whitelock).

@voodoo Scottish
Born in Peebles, Scotland. But moved to NZ when he was 7. Nothing like as much of a poach as some.

But theyโre so physical. And have you seen the size of them?
-
@act-crusader said in All Blacks vs Pumas II:
Ofa looks massive.
He's a fucking massive unit actually looking a lot trimmer I thought
-
Nice of Ardie to go with Te Reo in Maori language week instead of his usual Samoan.
-
Number One in the World!!!!!
-
Nice one Fozz. Doubt slowly dissipating. If we smash SA next week......

Chur! Good thing then.

Bladder missed 5 tackles, against a pretty lame Argentina, despite the sky team bigging him up, he's not a keeper at this level

Number One in the World!!!!!
Only if World Rugby ranking system counts this as having Home Advantage for Argentina.
I don't think they will... I think the Aussie commentators, surprisingly, are full of shit. -

1 South Africa 90.95 (-1.54)
2 New Zealand 90.70 (+0.38)
3 (โ5) Australia 85.65 (+1.54)

Yeah that is really poor. Ended on four penalties too.

5 (โ4) Ireland 84.85Yeah - exactly. If this was counted as Argies having Home-Advantage - NZ would have had (+0.83) - taking us to #1.
Edit - and I think everybody is, or should be, happier with counting this as a "No Home Advantage" game.
The taking of #1 should rightly come down to next weeks game. -
@tim said in All Blacks vs Pumas II:
@gt12 Yeah, I thought he was good tonight.
Iโm not sure heโs an international lock (he looks a lock/6 to me or a Barrett replacement) but he probably outplayed Tuips over the game (Patty started well but went a bit missing).
Btw, theyโve updated the stats and apparently Vaaโii had 10 made, none missed.
-
Samisoni goes from strength to strength. Good to see Sotutu back and his skill. Jordie surely cements his status as best fullback. DMac played a very good understated role. With more time and confidence he'll be a decent third option. Rieko just looks amazing at centre, getting the ball more often and his pace makes a big difference on attack.
-
Let's not completely throw the baby out with the bathwater with Blackadder. If he can improve his accuracy he'll be a useful squad option going forward.

Sure, but I'd prefer big red

I can see that spoiling approach frustrating the Aussies. Their defensive system is pretty sound. We looked good when we got our offload game going. That will be key for the Aussies.

He might go better at seven, but at 6 heโs behind Akira and Jacobson by a long way.
At Seven, a few there too.
Would have ahead of Frizzell obviously.

I'd like to see big red given a shot too, until tonight I thought he'd likely take Hoskins spot.

Dunno, Argentina are SA lite. Ozzie should smash them

Yeah can't see Frizzel doing much different than Blackadder, so give Blackadder the same chances.

Yep, because in addition to the negatives mentioned here, he was also responsible for most tackles made, most offloads, won a turnover and had a massive positive role in the lead-up to some of the tries.

I know itโs somewhat difficult to compare games but from an armchair view, Argentina played with more pace and endeavour than the Boks did.

Could tell him to picture the opposition wearing dresses? Might end up with a red card though.

Mitigating circumstances, let off with a warning.

Really am annoyed by Fakatava's injury right now.
I forgot about him ๐
