A late blow for the Taniwha ,Sam Nock has withdrawn from this afternoons match against Wellington, pulled out this morning with a soft tissue injury, not a major , but with the season ahead not worth aggravating as well..
Wil Grant goes into the starting XV , and Dan Hawkins who was running water goes onto the bench ..,halfback cover is either Hawkins or Cooper, hopefully neither 🤞🏼 -

Grant has a good game, offers more of a running threat than Nock, but yeah I thought a few weeks ago he was injured and likely out for a time, so fingers crossed he can go 80!!

That’s what you do when you have an injured halfback. You use your 3rd halfback as cover. Except if you are Northland and you don’t have a 3rd halfback because you couldn’t organise a few drinks in a brewery. Really I mean FFS.
