Finished 34-12. Based on this, I'd say Lebanon are going out in the Quarters and the Kiwis after the Semis.
I’d rather that sort of game against half decent opposition than the training runs that England and OZ got where Samoa and Fiji were only good for the first 10-15 minutes.

Yeah it's a month before they play Australia. Don't think you can read much into a warmup game.

Shitty league played by us with moments of magic.
Sounds like the Warriors since they debuted in the NRL.

You haven't watched in a few years have you, it's just shitty league these days ...
Well, that was an average performance to say the least. Might be a good match to help focus the team though.
Edit: My Kayo Sucks Rant: Get up at a reasonable time to watch the game. Drag it to the little icon on bottom of the screen that says H1 so that I can get to the start and then rewind slightly to the haka. It goes straight to the first try. In all my time using Kayo I've never had one of those go to the actual place they say they're going. Then I try to rewind back. Nope, wont let me, it just jumps back to where I was once I take my finger of the rewind button. So in the end, I exit out, start from the beginning and fast forward through to the haka.

Haven’t seen the game yet but I wouldn’t be too concerned over early form , we do have history of building through a tournament.
haven’t studied the draw either but heard brandy Alexander on the radio saying Nz and aus are drawn to meet in one of the semis , and he thinks that’s the final right there .
Sounds like a kind draw to England, particularly if Nz and aus play a tough game the week before .

massive lol at Samoa. What the fuck happened there? That's actually, on paper, a good side.
Problem is, a lot of those guys are names, but if you watch their club side, they are along for the ride. Luai gets carried at Penrith as he isn't responsible for anything. Yeo and Cleary and Edwards do all the heavy lifting. Suaali'i is a winger at the Roosters. Milford has been trash for years. Levi is very average. That's a shit spine
Still that pack should have done better than it did. Damning result.

@mariner4life With CHT as their other halves option they don't have anyone who can organise, I don't know what sort of form Mason Lino is in up norf but he could probably move a team around the park at 7 better than the three they have in the squad (while not being as good a player). Although this would require their forwards to actually put in some work.

grab Cheika as a coach and represent Lebanon.
The Lebanon players do like a whinge on the park.

Not a bad little side hustle for Cheika. Coaching a team with little expectation on the world stage.

Like he always does.

League world cup cracks me up. A team of Sydney players that can't crack the Oz side grab Cheika as a coach and represent Lebanon.
Sounds like Japan now and Wales not that long ago

Kofte or kibbeh would be better.

Don't know if he got injured at Wakefield, but it does seem strange you effectively pick three supporting halves in your squad and not one that steers the team around by themselves well.

NZ were pretty average but did enough, if we were to play Joey Manu over the next two games, I would limit his time. We need him fit for the big ones and hopefully Hughes fit by then too.

I've never heard of Joey Manu before, not even seen his name in a headline (if i was scrolling down stuff etc).
He was involved in
literallyfiguratively everything in the 3 min mini highlights package in youtube. Looks a good player. The Aussie league commentators love him. And because he plays for the Roosters he gets even more Sydney centric love.
There was a little noise about him changing to rugby but I think that was smoke and mirrors. He’s a big unit that has a bit of vision and isn’t afraid to make a play. He’s a good kid as well. No hotel lobby or nightclub cubicle or nose candy incidents (yet), so here’s hoping it goes well for a long career🤞

He's technically playing out of position too - he's usually a centre.
