You've gone and done it now.... Doggies by at least 20 now for sure.

Besides the Worriers never win in Wellington anyway (or Auckland for that matter).
-

Hurrell won't be playing tonight - he was in the NSW Cup side today. Sao is in the Warriors' final 17.

-

Warriors win 24-20. Tui Lolohea my man of the match.

-
Yesssssss. Fair effort from our boys tonight.

Great game from SJ. Best kicking game he has had for a long long time. He found space in and behind the Dogs outside backs. Some better 5th tackle option taking as well.

Bodene made a difference and Lolohea at 5/8 is a lock.

Josh Reynolds what a grub. -

Much needed victory by the Warriors but why aren't I more happy?

- RTS. Knee. FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!

- Kiwis play Australia on May 6. FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!

- Lolohea is now a key man for the club and to a lesser extent, country. Our new, improved Hohaia. Sign him up long term. Fullback/Stand off are his two positions from now on.

- And thank God we have Leuluai. Depth is a wonderful thing.

- A close win against a team on a five-day turn around is not good enough. Obvious the Doggies were tired but Warriors didn't keep the foot on the throat.

- The Bulldogs are my safe bet to be in the Grandfinal.

- The word that has escaped my fading memory for the past few weeks is "intensity". That's what these Warriors lack.

- Two players who have that intensity are Bodene Thompson and it appears Sam Lisone. But both are two of our smaller forwards.

- Unlike last week, SJ ran with the pill and behold, we scored points.

- Isaac Luke running from dummyhalf is a good thing. Long may it reign.

- David Fusitua needs to be in the team. Too talented to leave in NSW Cup. Much better than Jonathan Wright (who played alright tonight).

- Doggies are skilled at stripping the ball.

- Calling it now: Jeff Robson, Ken Maumalo and Konrad Hurrell will all leave the club before the June 30 deadline.

- Blake Ayshford. Maligned player but I have to admit....he's doing alright. As is Solomone Kata (still doesn't pass though).

- Bulldogs centre Kerrod Holland will be a star. Mark my words. Somewhere Chase Stanley is crying.
-

Newcastle Knights are in for a loooonnnggg season. Just got shagged 53-0 by the Broncos.

Confirmed RTS out for the season. Bugger.

Is it just me or are ACL injuries more common in contact sports in recent years?
-

It's pretty hard to come back from an ACL isn't it? Even once it's rehealed don't you lose a fair chunk of explosiveness? It looked like such an innocuous tackle as well.

How does that make our backline look? Fusitua to fullback and then the next cab off the rank into wing until we can get Manu back? Fusitua looked very safe under the high ball on Saturday.
-

Awful news, feel for RTS and the team. Crazy how it seemed like a minor strain yet it's a full ACL.

Heard they are moving Lolohea to FB and Thomas comes into the halves. I like that decision as a first reaction as it'll give Tui scope to roam and TL firms up the defence around the middle/edges and is a handy play maker.

But sooo gutted for RTS.
-

I think advances in surgery etc in recent years has improved things somewhat. Adrian Petersen in the NFL lead the league in rushing yards after needing an ACL reconstruction.
-

Bandwagon last seen heading towards the cliff of another lost season....

It was always going to happen. Warriors sign star only for star to do their acl is part and parcel of this franchise.

Tui Lolohea and David Fusitua will be the replacements at the back although Henare Wells has been carving it up in the NSW Cup. Huge dent to their playoff chances but this team still has the depth to go to the Grand Final.... if it can pull its shit together.

Kiwis should be able to get past this too. Hiku, Hoffman, Lolohea will fight it out for the fullback position. Rona, Nightingale, Watene-Zelezniak, Perrett, Kahu are other options too.
-

I've personally thought RTS has been pretty quiet this season anyway so I think it's not necessarily fatal for the Warriors season provided we don't lose anyone else.

I'd far prefer Johnson/Luke/Lolohea to be at the top of their game, than have RTS at the top of his and the others playing poorly.

As an aside, I see Shaun Johnson is offering his services via his facebook page to run the water for a yet to be decided Auckland league side this Saturday if any of the ferners have kids who play league - worth throwing your name in the hat. Good bastard...
