I think it's Retro Round which is a gimmick by Fox Sports Australia so the Warriors aren't involved. The pink jerseys are for breast cancer awareness (plus the round played on Mother's Day week).
-

No issues with teams wearing pink for breast cancer. -

Fuck Farah is a tool. Did you see his interview after his NSWC game? Tries to make out he's keeping his mouth shut, but the whole thing was a crack at the coach. And a whinge that they are looking for an excuse to sack him. Just fuck off to another club. He was given the option of looking for another club, but no one could pay him what he wanted, so he stayed.

Taylor thinks this is the best way for the club to play, to put more responsibility on the halves and Tedesco, and to keep the playing group to the structure he wants. So he drops a player, and it all breaks out. Fuck i am glad they won yesterday, i will be backing them in every game this year now. I'm no Jason Taylor fan, but coach's get so much pressure applied, they should be allowed to coach their own way.

Tigers won again today - against the Eels. Media is now declaring that it is time for Farah to fuck off and let the next generation run things.

Eels have officially released Kieran Foran from his contract. What a mess that turned out to be.
-

Really hope Foran comes right. Maybe a stint with the Warriors out of the Oz environment might help?

I agree with the sentiments re Kata though he still needs to learn when to pass the ball. No point in having Manu outside him if he's not gonna pass him the ball when he's close to the line. Other than that though, he is turning out great this season. If he can take the occasional brain explosion out of his game (such as in the Tonga/Samoa game) he could be one of the greats.

I wouldn't mind seeing Many switch to second row. He's taking a lot of hit ups down the centre of the field anyway, and there is no reason why he can't rove out wide to jump for kicks towards the end of the set. It seems like when RTS comes back next year Manu might find himself out of a spot, given the progress Fusitua and Maumalo are making this year. -

1.RTS 2.Fusitua 3.Ayshford 4.Kata 5.Maumalo 6.Lolohea 7.Johnson

Think Manu will move on to Superleague in the off-season.

Canberra is arse-raping the Bunnies right now. 52-4. Souths have really fallen apart.
-

Michael Maguire will surely lose his job in teh off season, Souths have fallen in a heap, and that was before getting that hammering. Paul MacGregor might be joining him on the job-seekers list.

The bunker is a joke. Football is not played in super slow motion.

Obviously the Titans have told the folks at Yatala pies not to serve him
-
And again golden point influenced by the defenders allowed to be a mile offside if there is a field goal shot on

The problem isn't the bunker, it's the incompetent prats that they put in there
-

the process is infuriating!

"If i completely stop the video here you can see that momentum has stopped. If i then restart the video he appears to start moving again, so he obviously made a 2nd effort, that's a double movement, I have an incorrect decision and going to the board"

Rugby league is an unbelievably simple game made incredibly complicated by fluffybunnies not good enough to be on-field refs, and on-field refs too scared to make a call. "i have a try, just want you to check something innocuous 55m back just in case i might have missed. Please review in super slow-mo to remove as much context as possible".
-

For all that, good game last night, plenty physical, heaps of niggle, and close. The Titans were out on their feet for the last 20, but just managed to hang on. Probably should have won it, i think they were a bit dudded by a couple of those penalties, especially when identical offences by the Sharks were ignored.

Chris McQueen didn't stop for the whole game, nor did Greg Bird.

There was so much niggle! Peter Sterling has since said some players just need to get one on the chin (ie Andrew Fifita) and the whole game would clean up. It's retro round, let them fight!!
-

Ben Henry retires at just 24.

Following major knee surgery in three of the last four seasons, Vodafone Warriors back rower Ben Henry has today confirmed he will retire at the end of the 2016 NRL season.

The 24-year-old’s fifth NRL campaign was ended by a patella injury to his left knee in the opening match of the season against Wests Tigers in March.

It followed ACL injuries to the same knee in 2013 and 2015, the injuries limiting Henry to just 52 appearances since his NRL debut against Manly at Eden Park in the first round of the 2012 season.

“It’s been a tough call to make because my goals were always to be a professional rugby league player,†he said after telling his team-mates about his decision today.

“It’s a huge disappointment but after all the damage to my knee there really wasn’t any option. While my heart was set on coming back yet again I’ve had to accept my body won’t allow me to compete at the level I need to.

“While there have been setbacks I’m still so grateful for the opportunities rugby league has given me. To be able to play for the club in the NYC and the NRL as well as making my Test debut for my country has been a privilege.

“I’ve played alongside so many great players and I’ll always cherish those times. I want to thank all the team-mates and coaches I’ve had for being there to support me through the good and bad times.

“This isn’t the way I planned it but now I have made this decision I’m ready for the next phase of life after football.â€

Ever since he was in the club’s NYC squad from 2009-2011, Henry has prepared himself for a career outside football through ongoing study. He has completed certificates in electrical engineering, small business and computer servicing while he has also been heavily involved in the club’s community, education and wellbeing areas including being an NRL education ambassador in 2013 and 2014 and a NRL State of Mind ambassador in 2015.

Coinciding with his decision to retire, Vodafone Warriors managing director Jim Doyle has announced Henry is in discussions for a role in the club’s football department.

“It’s a sad day for Ben and for all of us seeing his playing career ended so prematurely,†he said.

“Above all Ben is an impressive person with so many qualities and we see him providing so much value to the Vodafone Warriors.

“He has always been extremely professional in all he does, in the way he has prepared himself as a player and equally in the way he has prepared for his life without football.

“In addition to his rugby league career, he has been a champion of our education and wellbeing programme and he has taken on all the opportunities presented to him.

“The primary purpose of the role for Ben is to work with the players, the football department and our education and wellbeing team to promote and drive the success of the NRL team through constantly improving our standards.â€

After coming into the Vodafone Warriors development system, Henry made his NYC debut in 2009 and went on to make a club record 64 appearances in the grade. He captained the side in 2010 and 2011, missing the grand final win in 2010 but leading the side to its premiership victory the following year.

Mainly used as a back rower during his NRL career, he also played in the centres. He has finished his career with 17 tries plus three goals in his 52 games.

The Bay Roskill Vikings junior made his Test debut – his only international appearance – in the 2014 Anzac Test against Australia in Sydney.
