especially when you need to lift your knees to do this running lark....I tried running without lifting my knees, it was more like a fast shuffle
-

I've just finished explaining to a bunch of England fans that you can't go kicking the ball out of a players hands and that just because Murray is committing a ruck offence by holding onto the ball doesn't excuse Brown's actions.

Reckless is the word I would use should have been a red. So he can expect a sit down. Would love it if this saw the end of players kicking through rucks. Never been a fan of that the law says you can ruck the ball out not fly hack it out. To me that means foot in a backwards motion. -

Can you actually be cited for something the ref and TMO go over in fine detail and decide is not even a penalty?

I understand citing for something that is missed during the game, but doing it for something that has already been analysed that thoroughly would feel like a big vote of no-confidence in the refereeing team on the day.

FWIW I thought it was a yellow card offence.

You can still be cited after getting a YC I thought, so I don't see why not.
-
Don't see why not, the citing commissioner is independent of the match day officials and may view it differently, as so many do

Although each comp has its own rules so may vary slightly -
Hmm. The idea of a ref, TMO and citing commissioner all viewing the same footage and coming away with such differing views (2 thinking it's not worth a penalty, one thinking it's worth a red card) strikes me as a bit worrying, but I guess you're probably right.

I was just talking in general terms to add to the 'worrying'. :)
-
Brown is a long way off his best at the moment in truth. Moreover, while I didn't think he was targeting the player, it was definitely risky and rather stupid. He might benefit from a bit of a break.

I wouldn't mind so much if the next cab off the rank was anyone other than Alex f'ing Goode.

I don't rate Alex Goode as much more than a average Premierhsip player. England should play Nowell at fullback and Yarde or Daly on the wing if Brown is unavailable. -
It's not that Goode is bad. It's just that England needs someone better than Goode. I don't rate him as an international quality three quarter, he's just too slow - I still shudder when I think of his culpability in two of the tries conceded against France in 2014. -
Did anyone else notice that for three of the first four penalties conceded (rapidly) by England, the offender was Farrell?

Crap under the high ball, slow, weak in defence, unable to beat players or break tackles in attack.

He has some nice skills, but he just doesn't have the physical attributes to play 15 effectively at Test level.
