Isn't there a conflict of interest with Tana's nephews?
Nah, one's always injured and the other one can't get selected by his Super coach.

@nzzp Nonu developed a good kicking game.
... and passing game, and stepping game, and tackling game. Turned into a complete player.
I guess I was just thinking I don't see many 12s used as frequent kickers - would be nice if that happened; dual playmakers, and possibly even some territory
I think these days with how everyone moves in and out often the 2nd kicker (dual playmaker ) plays at 15 since we drifted off the 2nd five and moved to inside centre role. Plummer plays the old 2nd 5 role for Blues quite a bit

Thinking back, one of the hallmarks of the NPC winning Auckland 2018 side was their kicking from all over the backline. It just makes sense - you can catch out positional issues from the opposition (and actually create some!)

Also, the Blues turned the corner last year when their kicking game improved. Sullivan & Christie became regulars and supported Black. MacDonald said the game plan in the final was largely built around Christies kicking

I think RTS looks to be a hugely talented player, with smarts, I think (and hope obviously) his transition is going to be much smoother than most expect, such a rare talent, I think he will surprise a fair few, particularly on attack
I think he might get shown up on d a few times, but expect he will learn quickly there too.
@nzzp Nonu developed a good kicking game.
Going by that article posted about Clarke and RTS training together there was mention on working his passing game.
Passing in play is different between the codes and used more often in Union. -

Peter should just pretend he is Thomas then ask to try out 13..

@steven-harris would be awesome if he kicked from 12 as well. Been a long time since we had a kicking 12 that wasn't a converted 10.
SBW did a few from memory, struggling to think if others do it much
As long as he doesn't chip kick like old blues thunder legs...
He's going to be a different 12 to SBW anyway, who in my opinion came back to rugby a little late and a little injured and not as a conventional 12 but had some interesting skills. -

Everyone seems to gloss over 2 seasons of Union in France SBW had before he returned to NZ. Toulon had the joys of most of his early errors

I'm not sure but wasn't he a forward for some of that time (I think, a 6?) And didn't he pick up some major injuries in league before the age of 23 or 24?

I don’t watch league but I imagine that generally speaking there is less passing (apart from the initial tackle clearance). Also less passing across the face and long passes

That's my memory too. 6 for a bit in France. And yeah, SBW was already struggling with a dicky knee before coming to Rugby. Don't think either code got to see the best of him. Broken too early in his career and code hopped too much I reckon.

Why do some of them have sports bras on ?
Presume you're trolling, but I thought they were GPS units that also track heart rates
Yep.
