Sterling has a running style that I imagined got him plenty teased at primary school but he is an energiser bunny. England’s must dangerous player.
Still picking Italy to win euro 2020.

Me too, sadly. Still it's Englands best result since 1966 already!

Did they not have VAR available?, that was a dodgy penalty for sure..great diving and acting marks to earn it, but fuck all contact.
well done England to get there though

Denmark tiring, Sterling buys a soft enough penalty. Schmeichel saves but Kane knocks the rebound hone.
great effort in the save since he also had a lazer pointing at his eye...

Even game until the 2nd half and then England dominated from there and the Danes looked pooped. Not to mention, England bring on star subs and the Danes bring on a pair from Brentford.
Foul on Kane looked a pen to me - but Kane generally does too much falling over.
Sterling's wasn't a pen and VAR did review but they have been reluctant to over-turn in the Euros. If was the lightest of brushes and Sterling was already descending and I wonder what the ref would have done if sent to the monitor. Kasper unlucky with Kane's dreadful pen and had a great game.
Sterling best on show, Kane provided best moments when he came deep (pass for Saka and a couple of others) but he did it too much and all it meant was that there was nobody in the centre.
Pickford is definitely due a blunder that costs a goal, he seems to be getting more and more dodgy.
Looking forward to the final - both semis were great and the final should be similarly good.
Good on Denmark, they have added a lot to this tournament since their near tragic start.
Good on England, didn't crumble when going a goal down.

England's first final since 1966 ......thanks for that confirmation on the Sterling foul about VAR, I am still surprised that was allowed to stand it was a shocker in my eyes. Like it has been mentioned from the parts I watched it was shame it came to that, as Sterling looked in great form up to that point on merit.

Denmark were the better side in the First Half, but England had the physical edge in the second half and extra time. Denmark tired, England got stronger as the game went on. Sterling was superb, Shaw and Walker ran and ran and ran, Stones is outstanding at Centre Back.
I thought the penalty was fair. Kane's kick was soft but he followed by the rebound. 2-1. England in their first major final for 55 years. Big celebrations at Wembley, around London and around the country last night.
England Vs Italy in the final on Sunday. The two best teams in this competition against each other.

That's a big call. Italy's half of the draw looked much stronger. Plus there's an argument Spain were stronger overall than Italy but threw the game away through profligacy in front of goal.
Sunday will tell. Time to dig out my worn once in a generation ING-GA-LUND kit.

Shit penalty decision, great win
Get it done boys so we can all say fuck off to social distancing

The Danish player dived and earned the free kick that they scored off. And England had a very strong penalty shout disallowed not long before Sterling's soft pen. That's football, England played better and deserved the win

lol since when does two wrongs make a right work, just because other decisions were touch and go doesnt mean you ignore the other. If you see my other post you can see I agree England were the better side and probably deserved the win, but was calling out that whole passage of play was probably worse than the others. You always get shit decisions in every sport, I get that, I just thought this one was right up there. Then to hear also post match about the second ball on the pitch in the same area at the time (not allowed), the crazy fan who was shining lazers.., Kasper even more of a legend to even block the penalty.
Crazy finish ..but good luck to England and Italy regardless

Reckon any kiwis at Wembley tomorrow will feel like they’re back at the cake tin
“Harry Kane, Harry Kane”
-
Phil Foden a doubt for tomorrow's big game. I think Southgate might start with Grealish, go for the early goal and hope the noisy crowd becomes the 12th man for England.

This is why we come to the fern.

So are we for the eyeties or the poms?
Italy have played the best football but I think I’m actually going to support the English here. Not least because Italy’s trophy cabinet is not what you’d call bare. Southgate seems like a jolly decent chap too.
