Chiefs v Rebels
-
The Gallagher Chiefs squad are currently in Townsville and were due to fly home to New Zealand on Wednesday 2 June. The squad will now travel to Sydney on Wednesday 2 June to continue their preparations to play the Melbourne Rebels at FMG Stadium Waikato at 3.35pm on Sunday 6 June. The Gallagher Chiefs are reliant on the travel pause being lifted by Government officials to allow them to play the Melbourne Rebels in Hamilton in front of their loyal members, fans, and stakeholders. The Gallagher Chiefs preference is to host the Melbourne Rebels at FMG Stadium Waikato, however if the travel pause remains in place the game will take place in Sydney at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday 6 June, with a kick-off of 3.30pm (AUST).

Annoying as the Chiefs will end up with only one SR TT home game. The only consolation is that the endless trans- Ta$man travel has been reduced a little. I hope they thrash the Rebels!
Pretty much no crowd (revenue) for the home game against the Highlanders too.

Why the fuck do they roll out a better team (minus Dmac) this week in comparison to what they ran out last week?
We'll probably have a functioning set piece this week although the lineout will fall to bits once Slater comes on with Brown.

To answer my own query:
With Damian McKenzie and Liam Messam having headed home, due to suspension, and a family commitment, respectively, Sean Wainui and Tom Florence joined up with the rest of the 24 players across the ditch, though both will watch from the sidelines, along with prop Aidan Ross, who McMillan has decided to rest.

Just saw the team sheet. What is with Roe ahead of TTT?
