Quality is still an issue for Super Rugby AU.
The Rebels crowds are awful and they were competitive in Super Rugby AU.

Even the Storm get shit crowds.

I wouldn't extrapolate from a final between the two clearly best teams in the comp.

Because the interest, participation and skill level in Australia will decrease. The alternative is worse.

There's more to it than that. Rebels attendance used to be far better even just 2-3 years ago.
