Some more info about the opposition. A bunch of 12 yr old ring-ins who had never played with a cricket ball before and they missed an estimated 24 chances to dismiss him.

Was about to say the same thing. Hundreds of years of British rule for nothing. Appalling.

The modern age with its bat domination suits India to a tee, especially at home. I remember 20 or so years ago Pakistan toured and the two Ws as always dominated but right after that India came and their spearhead Javagal Srinath looked military medium in comparison.....I mean can anyone honestly name a truly world class Indian pace bowler apart from Kapil Dev? ( and even his claim is tenuous compared to others )

Zaheer Khan was pretty good for a long time, predominantly bowling on wickets not made for him. He took more than 300 wickets, that's not bad.

I thought of him too but he's hardly up there with the very best is he? Pakistan produced Imran, the two Ws and Shoaib Akhtar who are all far superior to anything India produced but the flip side is they haven't had anywhere near as many class batsmen......

Well those stats back up my bowling argument but surprised at the batting one, off the top of my head the Indian batsmen would be Gavaskar, Tendulkar and Dravid for India and Miandad.....and......shit can't guess the other three Pakistanis...

Nope, Mr spud head only managed 49.60.

Just read a link on Joe Root, in England's entire history only seven blokes have averaged over 50........Shit I woulda thought it'd be more than that.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/magazine/content/story/959395.html

Him, KW and Steve Smith also prove that today's generation of outstanding batsmen all look 15 years old....(despite Williamsons beard)
