Waratahs v Rebels

No sign of Sam Caird yet again. Oh yes there is if you are intending on attending the 3.30pm match at the Glen Willow Stadium in Mudgee where you will see him fronting up for Sydney Uni in their Shute Shield encounter with Eastwood.
Obviously limited opportunities with a very limited Super Team over there have hounded him after his limited opportunities over here.

Caird had 5 starts in a row at the beginning of the season. He looked out of his depth
Unfortunately a few of those were next to The Big No aka Jack Whetton. For a couple of big lads, they're less than the sum of their parts. I thought Caird was alright around the park but the scrum push was terrible when they were on together.

P.S. Don't see him on the team sheet, unless he's playing the part of the second Grade trophy aka Colin Caird.

Whetton’s mobility was the worst thing, maybe he had a niggle? Considerably below his NZ standard. In the Force game Whetton looked like he was putting in a huge effort to catch up to a break then you could see Thrush gently jog past him.

@nta He was on it yesterday (with an asterix next to his name) so they must have either dropped him or he was won a recall to the Waratah train wreck. Will see what I can get from my contacts at Sydney Uni (two of my nephews play there).

@stargazer I'm perplexed as to how the officials ignored that completely. It was pretty clear the ball carrier was stooping if Naisarani is bent right over to hit him, only thing he could have done is drop to his knees.
Just more shit refereeing from the unbelievably incompetent.
