Apparently Conway had over 20 inside edges at Lord's. He has already had 2 here. Riding his luck at the moment trying not to chop on. The last one he played a little away from his body after cashing in with a number of off drives

I'd rather he was getting inside edges than outer edges as that means he is covering the line of the ball well. It's not analogous to facing Imran or the two Ws where Marty would play for inswing only. And Conway does tend to have a bat plane closer to the line of his pads than wafting outside his eyeline.

Really tough on Young to get out in the last over, feel bad for him. Though he got a hell of a chance early on - that drop from Root was an absolute sitter.

Rosco really battled eh. One thing he did well was to continue to play down the line instead of going at the moving ball. A lot of the times he was beaten he was playing inside the line of the ball which means he's unlikely to edge it. Would be amazing if he could kick on though, an in-form Rosco would be golden to us in the final.

Conway really threw his wicket away - he should be absolutely spewing at that, threw away another ton. He's a real class act though, mentally has what it takes at the top level.

Looking forward to the first session tonight.

@no-quarter as an older bugger, we all have moments in sport when the brain knows how to play, but the body simply doesn't get the memos. I'd love an insight to Rossco's internal monologue during that innings🙂.

Jesus christ 3 years ago I'd have a ton by teatime against these pie chuckers 😁.

Hope it all clicks today but props for the commitment yesterday. Anybody remember Ponting's last 4 innings?

As for Devon, that shot has served him well over the years, not least last week. Watch with interest if he keeps it in his repertoire. I remember when Steve Waugh put away his pull or hook shot.

The English keeper is terrible. Assume he's primarily a batsmen?
