Blues v Hurricanes

With Jordie Barrett in such good form with the boot, the Blues won't be starting any of penalty magnets on Friday. They must have been practising all week not to give penalties away. Anything with 65 metres of the posts. Boom, Jordie's big boot gets another three points for the Hurricanes.

If only someone had told them for the first game

i would like to see the drills used for this

Ffs, Blackwell returns to the starting side and Savea comes back in. It felt like we were building but selecting those two again is just taking a step backwards. Holland will never learn I'm afraid, atleast we have a strong bench.
Jordie must be 10 cover aswell.
-
@canes4life It's hard to believe aye? IWL was awesome, last week! Now back to the bench to make way for that midget.
Armstrong starting again, too.
-
@stargazer it's just so painful. IWL was one of the top players on the park last week, it surely doesn't give the kid confidence when he's replaced by one of shortest, if not the shortest lock in Super Rugby history. Seriously, what does a guy like Blackwell do at training to make him command such a permanent position in the team? He's just so ordinary and has tits for hands.
Numia and Rakete-Stones have been alot stronger over recent weeks, Armstrong is lucky to be in the 23, let alone starting.
-
@canes4life Makes me feel like:
-
The Hurricanes have possibly the strongest bench in the competition, they will look to add a lot of power from the 50th minute with the likes of Numia, Walker-Leawere, Flanders & PUJ being injected late into the game.

That's what happens when all your best players start the game on the bench
-
@african-monkey yep Faiane in for Plummer. Plummer on bench with AJ Lam I'm hearing...
-
@kiwi_expat that's only true if they actually bring them on at the 50 minute mark. Most of the time Holland injects players too late so it's hard for them to offer any impact. I.e. PUJ last week.
-
@canes4life Proctor has been performing well.
also last week they were winning & they still increased their lead. The week before when Holland emptied the bench, the Hurricanes conceded almost 30 points in that second-half. They were doing great until B.Proctor and others were subbed-off.
-
@kiwi_expat it doesn't matter if Proctor was playing well or not, my point is if a player comes on too late it's hard for them to have any influence on a game. Therefore being on the bench is less important than starting if a player hardly gets any minutes.
