Fuck that was some soccer level arm throwing. He's such a fluffybunny, total wimp unless it's his partner he can beat
I get he has a shitty past and people won't forget, but it was hardly soccer level. He could have easily milked that for more.
Bollx as he went down 'injured' he had the time to throw his arms out, in a pathetic way. Then lay on the ground, with nothing at all wrong. This shit needs to be stamped out of the game
I thought it was pretty funny that Williams just told him "No!" Immediately. No one was buying it.

@billy-tell Hasn't been anyone better at 12 than Havili this year. Position is wide open.

quick post match reaction.
Good game. Clearly the best two teams in the comp. As expected, teh experience of the Crusaders tight 5 and Richie were pretty much the difference.
The Crusaders maul is a thing of beauty. They set it and defend it better than anyone else - respect.
Not at all disappointed with the Blues. Clear dominance in the scrum, and when we got going with foraward drives the Crusaders couldn't live with it. It was good to watch. Dumb play cost us though - feeding possession and gifting points early in the second half was the game.
Crusaders were good, very well drilled, but the Blues have shown enough dominance to see a path to victory. Get to teh final, and it's all on. You know you're rattling them when flopping starts - and lots of injury breaks. Plues physicality was strong today.
So, pretty much as expected. Roll on the rest of the comp - would love to see these two in the final. It's a game of millimetres, and today the Crusaders were better. Who knows next time ... Blues building nicely from what I can see
That game boiled down to the three soft penalties Blues leaked between 50 and 60.
Then consider Akira's Blues 2017 pass and Eklund's WWE move.
Small margins.
Blues needed to be closer after first half, when the score really flattered Chch.
But mental fragility showed in second.
Christie/Plummer/Faiane looked very sharp at end, and hurt Saders.
For me it was Red and Black ruck work which won it for them -- the mauls flowed from that.

If it happens, @Duluth called it miles out I believe.

I hope the ABs selectors are noticing how well Will Jordan and David Havaii are playing.
If Fozzie didn't work out that Will Jordan is his starting right wing (assuming he doesn't play at fullback) during those final 15 minutes vs Argentina, then there is very little hope for him.

Fozzie's selections have been a mystery. Hoskins, AIoane, Jordan ... it's been weird.
Also, I'll take this off to the super thread, but the quality of the comp seems way way down on last year. Personnel haven't changed - so what is it?
-
@nzzp Fozzie's squad selections were pretty good - a few to quibble over, but in general nothing too outlandish - and Vaa'i (who was a bit left-field) seemed quite inspired.
Who he picked to play the games has been less inspired, but I could follow a lot of his logic. It's just that some of what he thought were his safety first options e.g. Jordie on the wing - turned out not to be.

considering how many are in a squad, and how many good players are left in NZ, picking the squad is pretty fucking easy to be honest.

@mariner4life A degree of truth to that, but it's easy for you and I to say.
There's probably quite a few ferners I wouldn't want to see in charge of the job - possibly including me!

i should barely be in charge of a motor vehicle.
If i was in charge the chances of one really fucked up selection made purely for the talkback/social media melts would be pretty high

I'd use code when discussing the selections. E.g. "he's a strong lad" means he carries the luggage and won't get on the field.

we all know Aaron only gets picked because he gives out free haircuts

Hopefully he picks Folau and forces Aaron to give him a haircut.

Seriously, what do people have against Fakatava's hair cut? I love how he doesn't give a sh*t about how people think about his hairdo, and does whatever he likes. Just let him be him; he's a character and I love it! He'll get enough of it at some point, and will get his haircut whenever he wants. It's not different from Jack Goodhue's mullet or Cory Jane's dreadlocks, except that other players are less likely to copy it.

honestly, I would have given to a 'gofundme' to get rid of Aaron's topknot. Just not my bag.

With you completely star, let him be him, we want individuals playing the game, it's what make them what they are.

Yep mate it easy to post on the net where all our words of wisdom are forgotten in a week and then we jusr say something completely different to appear knowledgeable. Like fozzie (or any coach) or not , I will bet he (and others) havemore knowledge of game and how it played in there little fingers compared to those that just watch the game and not making the decisions on how the team is meant to be playing etc.
