This should have been put to bed 2 overs ago. Why has Seifert stalled so much, there are so many batters left in the shed. This is an exceptional team but even in their wins they seem to end up in holes and running in mud sometimes. An Australian team would never even consider letting the foot off the throat, this team doesn’t have that yet.
Cos averages man, averages

A good win, but agree with the comments above, they took the foot off the throat. Really good teams don’t do that.
On the other hand I’m pleased they were both there at the end, especially Seifert. It’s all very well putting your team on the front foot, but being able to finish what you start is what quality players can do.
Isn’t it nice for the BCs to win and us be picking on the little things that they need to improve on rather than bagging them for being shit?

@Gunner but we are not a “really good team” when it comes to T20. I’m happy to get another win against Pakistan who have been one of the better T20 teams in recent years.
No but I’m sure they want to be...

@Rapido I applaud the selectors and their consistent approach, it's fair enough to fall back on a players overall career numbers when they're as good as Nicholls'. He found form, and the policy has proven a success.
There must come a point though, when enough is enough.
IMO they wouldn't be doing their job if after 10 failures, they weren't in the back of their minds thinking 'how many more chances do we give him before we give the next guy a crack?'

That is a good one. Shows just how good Young has been too. I don't remember the last time we had batting depth this good. No one looks like they're only their because of a lack of alternatives (maybe Blundell the makeshift opener but his performances have been okay) and not one but two guys smashing the door down at FC level.

Two? Conway and Ravidra?

1124 runs, 2 tons, average 66 and 996 runs, 5 tons, average 62. That's the last 20 innings from Young and Conway. (taken from that article)

Nicholls needed that big ton, no two ways about it but I think it needs to be remembered that Ross Taylor is surely only a season or two away from retiring and for me Nicholls will take the spot at four with Conway slotting in at five ( or the other way round ). They’ll give him a pretty long leash to find form I reckon.

How many times was Nichols dropped by the Windies when he made his last 100? At least three? I am not convinced he is 'back' yet.

Yeah getting runs against a team as awful as they were may not be the best yardstick
