    @MiketheSnow what didn't you like?

    Failure to brandish the yellow

He did though. Geez refs are on a hiding to nothing these days.

Should have been two in the first half

What was that for? I don't think Hooper did himself any favours.

Deliberate killing of the ball instead the 22

At which point the other half of the forum would've jumped up and down about how soft he was to YC someone after only 2 pens.

    To which they’d be wrong

I didn't have a problem, thought he was fair to both sides. Hooper pushing the issue in an egg way didn't help his cause I reckon. We all know what warning means, Michael.

Pleased neither side won. If the ABs can beat Argentina by more than 8 points and deny Argentina a losing bonus point then the Tri Nations trophy probably be heading to NZ. That result looks far from certain given how appalling the All Balcks were last week.

Jordan Petaia is the most overrated player in Australia.

Looks like a great league centre...

He seems to be pretty easy to read - as soon as he jumps fucking smash him in a tackle. He does it before most contact. He doesn't look like hes even trying to do anything else but take contact.

@sparky i think next week will be a rout, and we will win the illustrious 3 Nations trophy.

Argies on the back of 2 massive matches, ABs rested and with a point to prove!!

He was trying to plant the seed strongly in a really 'smart' way but failed.
Should have just said 'thanks for warning them but my guys are getting really frustrated at try scoring opportunities being killed by illegal acts' instead his lecturing carry on put him offside with the ref.

Hooper defending 1 out from a puma ruck and yelling and gesticulating to the ref was fucking ridiculous.

What a beast Kremer is! Knocks himself out and just when you wonder what permanent brain damage he's got sitting with his team in the dugout - he's throwing himself into the next tackle!

I enjoyed the game for a tough as fuck niggle fest. A real test of commitment for both sides. Equal contest with again the argies having better cohesion and smarts than their more pedigreed opponents. Argies stick to a plan and "discipline" really well, it's clear they all know the hymn sheet at the same time.

Earlier in the day I mentioned to a friend that it was a relief not to have the ABs playing for a week - that's a worrying sentiment. Not quite as worrying as being jealous of the Aussie scrum and backline running onto the ball from depth.😒. At least there were moves of a lineout in this game.

Sore bodies out there and now watch a virtuoso crack plastering performance as the all blacks restore minimal pride against a battle weary pumas.

Ah but context is important. Refs - particularly shit NZ ones - tend to forget they'd issue warnings if they're given 10 minutes away from a rugby field 😉

The approach Hooper had taken up to that point was a little off, particularly when the Wallabies were responding to the niggle like children, BUT this was a valid point closing on halftime: ensure the ref says out loud what the warning is, so it is set in everyone's mind. If he fails to act on it in the second half, you can remind him of his exact words.

Literally the next penalty in the 22 there was a yellow card.

So can you explain how Hooper's approach failed?

He did NOT want to go off for that HIA.

Our commentators here were talking about how much bigger he is than Hooper, forgetting of course that the Argies play their blindside at 7.

@Crucial yeah that was my thoughts. Being a douche and trying to show you're smarter than the ref isn't often the best tactic.

I mentioned to Bonesetta that it helps he usually looks like he's been knocked out anyway. Caveman fresh out of the barbers.
