Ah, a bit of casual racism, gotcha. If the unofficial name kiwi can apply to New Zealanders, then fair to say Aotearoa can apply to New Zealand

Fuck me, what a confusing set of posts. I too thought we were laughing at the OP. His ignorance, and also the weird use of laughing emoji's seemed odd.
And I can't for the life of me understand how someone controlling the handle of a NZ magazine wouldn't know what Aotearoa is and then manages to get a few thumbs ups and hearts in response
I feel very dumb(er) right now.
