Not sure that's worth a yellow for Koroibete
Laumape killed that ball I reckon.
Yep - arm guard on the deck, sealing it off while pulling it back. Koroibete was a bit silly in terms of going after the ball instead of just trying to roll him away.

Gotta say, really feel sorry for Akira. Was looking good, just staying in his channel and making really good contact.
Can he come back on as a replacement since he went off for a front row card replacement?
No
-
- If a front-row player is sent off, and the team cannot continue with contested scrums with players already on the field, then the team nominates another player to leave the playing area to enable an available front-row player to come on. The nominated player may act as a replacement.
I.e. Yes he can.

Both of them are yellow cards. Stupid decisions that destroy a code that is struggling anyway
Give refs back discretion.
Then good refs would have gone yellow.
Refs do have discretion. Berry could have said the were both mitigated by players falling.

Marika should’ve just kept driving over but he wanted to pick it up. After the warning, easy decision for YC unfortunately.
-
OK, I’ve calmed down. With the Bledisloe already decided this was already going to turn into a brawl. But referees need to use their discretion more. If there is no intention to use foul play, it is a yellow at the most. The rules are wrong. People pay money for this. If you red card players, you destroy the spectacle. At least in this case there should have been warnings. But Nick Berry is way out of his depth and looks totally compromised

That's one of the worst halves of Bledisloe rugby I can remember.
Frenetic, no composure - both teams playing sevens.
I'm quite enjoying this game - there is a lot scrappiness and passion out there, and now everyone is pissed off so it is cranking right up. Maximum effort.
Swinton was exactly what we needed and once he controls things he could be the next Fardy - not big enough to be Finegan.
Same! It's wild and scrappy, but I'm really enjoying it.
-
They keep playing the Swinton tackle and I keep thinking although he is 195cm tall he is 7cm shorter than Whitelock and never made an effort to get below the chin line.

Except it was obvious neither was. Both shots were at shoulder height to start with and climbing, which is poor technique in seeking dominance.
Ofa had a free shot at an outside back, and chose to drive up instead of bury him in the turf through the floating rib. As a prop, that doesn't happen often, so driving up in the tackle is dumb.
Swinton started high and never dropped when he could have easily and helped ?Paisami? enact a dominant hit.

Here's why I'm not against either red card.
The problem is that the margin between Ofa's tackle being perfectand being a red card is so small. I'm not sure what Ofa did technically wrong. If you were his coach, how would you get him to change his technique so he pulled off a legal tackle?
Cullen, Kirwan and Mils all on the panel said they don't agree with the red cards. I think most players know rugby is a physical game. Intentional acts should be punished harshly but not ones players have no control over.
-
I'm happy with both reds tbh. Both calls were right and sumo is also right with what he is saying.
Gutted to see Akira go. God knows if he'll get another chance or not.

The Red Card situation really needs to be look at.
There has been too many games wrecked in recent years.
But we're back to even, so I don't see a problem
I can imagine the Ref thinking "Oh, no. Not fucking again..."
My gripe is there's no distinction between deliberate/dangerous foul play and inadvertent dangerous play .
