Wallabies are paying $6 in some of the Australian agencies.

@Duluth I thought @bayimports had it the wrong way around in the midfield. But no, it's a 12 at 13 and a 13 at 12.

Firms up the point that there is some plan here with the backline tactics.
Goodhue is not a 12 in the sense of a second five or a linebreaker.
It is like they have skipped the 12 altogether and gone for a two 13 setup.
(Kind of makes sense if you skip pass the 12 on attack anyway)

I remember the ABs and Canes tried that a couple of times in the very early days with Umaga at 12 and Nonu at 13.

    Wallabies

    1 James Slipper (Brumbies)
    2 Brandon Paenga-Amosa (Reds)
    3 Taniela Tupou (Reds)
    4 Lukhan Salakaia-Loto (Reds)
    5 Matt Philip (Rebels)
    6 Ned Hanigan (Waratahs)

EDIT to stop there. Fuck. Ing. Hell. Why?

Especially when ALB at 12 and Goodhue at 13 works and they're both on the bloody field.

Exactly. Can they not count? Do they not understand how the numbers work? WTF.

is scott barrett so world class he can walk into the team so easily?

It would have made more sense to start Barrett and give him as many minutes as he could cope with.

Best ten at 15, best fullback at 14, centres around the wrong way, second best 7 playing at eight where he's behind multiple players in that position, our depth being tested at lock, a player that may not be up to it at six and they drop Reiko who looks like he was in good form. At the very least play him on the wing.

    So many problems.

I think it’s still very much up for debate whether Jordie is the best fullback at test level.

I’d say our best fullback and 10 is at fullback.

Why are we persisting with Goodhue at 12 and Jordie at 14? Fucking idiots.

Especially when ALB at 12 and Goodhue at 13 works and they're both on the bloody field.

Hopefully they switch positions as required. Goodhue at 12 might be to keep the Crusaders combo.

It’s bloody hard to know when he starts at 10 and 14 instead of 15!

@Bovidae Nah. He is coming back from injury and I want to see what Tupou Vaa’i can do. I thought he was not bad last week. We know what Barret can do. Injuries might be the only way Fozzie gets to the correct combinations. He safe selection policy will come to bite him in the ass even if we do win. The NZRFU screwed up with his hiring.

    I'll mention a positive

Great to see Hodgman get a bench spot. He's been on a steady improvement for a few years now. A well earned debut

Plenty of other spots to disagree with.. in particular Sotutu should've got a start

@broughie is less of a risk starting Barrett and managing his minutes coming back, as opposed to Pat T or Vai going down early then he has to play 70...

BUt I expect if he is not up to 80, he owuldnt be there

That may still happen if Ardie's baby pops out.
Does Akira come on the bench then? Papalii?

@broughie A long as Barrett doesn't have any issues with his plantar fascia when he does take the field. Then you are fucked if he is forced off.

I don’t think many would have him in our 2 best wingers either

    I think I would go beaudy 10 , Caleb 11, Jordan 14, Jordie 15, Richie 23

You'd assume Papali'i otherwise there is no real 7 cover?
