Bledisloe Two: Auckland, October 18

@kiwiinmelb bruh! I came here just to write that he looked pissed lol.
But props to him to reign it in. It means something to turn it around. I’m not a fan of his coaching but im always happy to be proven wrong when it’s for the advancement of our rugby.
I hope he has a good scotch on hand, he deserves it.

All 3 loosies were ace. Nothing to moan about this week
Agreed. All three were magnificent today.

@Kirwan think it just shows how risk adverse he was last week.
Yep, hopefully he learns from that before it costs us Test matches.
-
@BerniesCorner an he reproduce at test level though.

Good step up from Frizzel, hopefully will continue to improve. Took some line outs too
-
@taniwharugby I think that's it. He didn't want to give the rookie a start in his first test. He should have had more faith in Clarke's abilities. It was also Fozzie's first test in charge though.

For me Frizzel improved, but I do remember a couple of missed tackles and multiple handling errors. That has to improve to a further level for my liking.
-
@bayimports yeah he seems to have all the attributes, but just missing a bit of agression and power at present

He made some turnovers in the first half and chimed in with some good tackles and a couple of runs. Not Kaino level dynamic but improving

I think he can potentially become a Kaino type of player, just needs to remove the errors. As @taniwharugby said, he has the attributes, just want to see better execution

Some good individual performances but we look out of control, oz look to have a far better pattern
Agreed.
Wallabies attacking structure is far superior.
But slow. ABs seem so much faster. Mind you that led to some overekaboration and fuck ups.

@broughie this team has benefited from ball runners BB, son of Eroni, Sotutu. Laumape deserves a chance
I like Sotutu’s game, but he didn’t exactly carry much ball today so I’m not sure you can say we benefited from that.
I think we need to be a little more patient with some of these players. That’s not conservative, it’s reality. Not long ago Naholo started out his AB career and he was dynamite from the outset and then things just didn’t happen for him.

More talented team vs a superiorly coached team
See comment about speed above. Win a effective on attack but don't look as dangerous.
-
Agreed with the commentary of the panel on BB and RM.
BB played more as a fullback today than as a second playmaker. Wasn't first receiver often and didn't try to distribute like a first five, but went himself when he saw an opportunity. Being the communicator at the back, keeping a good view of what was happening in front of him is way more helpful for RM's role than what he did previously. Using his fast running more was great to see. RM had a great game, running left and right, he was everywhere, and looked more confident. If the two working together evolves this way, it's very promising, esp because there's still room for improvement.

I'm pretty much on the half way line. Oz backline is offside pretty much every time, pushing in in the Miguel's and just not picked up. Makes their rush look better than it is
Que?
