@mariner4life Rangi wasn't mediocre.
"He scored a total of 141 test points (14 tries, 25 conversions, 7 penalties) in the 56 tests he played."Compared to Cullen he was

Would have been a little funnier if they didn't overdo the Chiefs thing. Considering there are (rightly) fuck all in the team, and two of them in Cane and ALB have been standouts.
His main blindspot seems to be picking too many Hurricanes, and shoehorning them in.
Well The Chiefs players bit was meant to be a laugh at supporters who think there's a bias against their local team/S15 franchise in AB selections
The thing was my attempt to take the mickey out of the current situation after someone suggested A Day In The Life on Fozzie, a la the ones from the 2005 Lions tour. Doubt if I could get anywhere near their standard.
There was one about either Rueben Thorne or a cantankerous fan which was absolute hilarious. If someone can drag that from the archives I’d be most appreciative

The Day in the life of Brian O'Driscoll was pretty hilarious too . I seem to recall a bit about using the hotels' revolving door to simulate Stephen Jones tackling...
I clearly didn’t proofread my post ( nothing new there ) I actually meant Cantab, not cantankerous.....same thing I guess.

But why swap coaches now, we are going so well at training!

@gt12 I think I concluded in my own mind that Farrell is probably No. 1 at present.
On the other hand, there is also this.
It is Mark Reason, which in its own way makes it extraordinary.

I’d prefer a trio of Merhts, Spencer and DC personally....

@MN5 Although that's very late Mehrts overlapping very early-DC.
But, it's also quite late Cruden overlapping Richie.
It’s more than Cruden/Mo’unga though.
Fuck Reason writes some utter shit. If he was a ferner he’d be tarred and feathered and banned for life.

Haven’t read the article so might be getting this wrong, but an overlapping of DC, Cruden and BB gets them all pretty (at different times) much on fire throughout every part of that era.

Cruden at his very best played so straight it made everyone wider instantly more dangerous. That combination with SBW we got to see for a far too short a time was lethal.
Our 10s from then on are far too lateral in their attack, and that's because their game is built around the run. And that's fine, you just need to adjust the attack to suit. And pick the right player at 12.

The best 10 is one that keeps the ball in front of our forwards, won't try to play within our half unless it's turnover ball, carries the ball in both hands and plays straight to the line to fix the defence.
