Southland v Waikato
-
Good kick under pressure from Eade. 9-7 Southland, big finish coming up!
-
Fletcher Smith showing Jackson Garden Bachop how to do it.
-
Eade sprays the droppie wide!
-
Waikato hold on to win 10-9. Waikato will be pleased to get out of that with the win away in the wet in Invercargill which is turning into an unpleasant roadtrip for away sides.
-
@African-Monkey yeah fair call, I've got a soft spot for them.

@Higgins Thomson is 38 and Messam is 36
This might be the first NPC game in NZ in a long time that 3 players were 36+.
Bloody happy with that in Southland-made conditions and some "interesting" refereeing.

Thank goodness they brought Fletch Smith and Roe on. Poor Rivez Reihana lacked confidence in the conditions.
I mentioned before the match that Strawbridge's selections meant he wanted to finish the game with experience, and that worked out in the end. Fletcher was very good, particularly with his kicking game. Reihana didn't appear to be subbed so he must have moved to fullback, and Lansdown was on the wing.

Coombes-Fabling went to the wing.
I know his dad, and was having a beer with his Uncle watching the game and we both threw $20 on him being the first try scorer! Zing! We should have also done him for last try scorer too!!

I can just imagine your reaction when Liam had that BS penalty awarded against him.
The Waikato backline was very rearranged at the end. Based on who was on the field Te Whare had to be player who went into the midfield.
