Apparently Hawkins is available for selection and will be selected to start at 10 due to Faiane not being part of the main squad...

Te Whata-Colley to get a start over Kearns (out of 23, unsure if injured) Mayanavanua to start in place of Caird who drops to bench, Hohaia at 12 and Matt Wright at the back, Matich drops from 23 too, again, no idea if injured as I think Goodhue was the only player listed as unavailable.

A few changes on the bench too, Gregory there but still under injury cloud apparently.

So is this a financial decision? I presume Hawkins is on a set amount and Wiseguy on per match payments?

@Duluth no idea, was something similar last year with someone else too.

    Can't recall who

Although, still makes zero sense given Pryor has leapt over fully contracted players from the dev squad or WTG, whatever they calling it this year

Tuiloma might be making his Northland debut but has a fair bit of experience having represented South Canterbury and Counties Manukau and Highlanders.

If Counties lose this game, they'll compete with Manawatu for the wooden spoon.
